No More Talking Shoes

No More Talking Shoes

The children of Casa Shalom want to thank all those who donated so they could have a brand new pair of shoes from Payless Shoes in Guatemala.

Casa Shalom child with new shoesThe shoes were greatly needed and are a wonderful blessing to the boys and girls of the orphanage. Casa Shalom is one of the older established orphanages under World Missions. Director Dr. David Griffis says: “People sought a way to be a blessing and a help to these children. It says something about the heart of the Body of Christ and the people of God.”

Before the shopping trip, many of the children had what they called “talking shoes,” meaning the toes of their shoes had opened and flapped (talked) when they walked! They no longer have to “listen” to their talking shoes.
