FROM DISASTER TO BLESSING
The thrust of Indian Ministries of North America (IMNA) is to bring hope to the first nations … the American Indians. Headed by Johnny Hughes, their outreach recently was involved in a different type of venue.
After assisting flood victims in Lumberton, North Carolina, IMNA learned that over 150 employees of Southeastern Health had been affected by the flooding, with over 60 losing almost everything … they were currently living in motels. IMNA was willing to help and asked God to provide. Participating in the effort were Jim and Gina Hudson, World Missions Missionaries on Special Assignment.
Since family resources were heavily affected as well, a “store” was available in a conference room at the medical campus. Throughout the day, the employees could shop for themselves and their families. This assistance helped the affected employees to maneuver through difficult days.
Southeastern Health Executive Director Sissy Grantham expressed appreciation for the generosity and kindness in aiding them rebuild their lives.
