  17. Jason du Preez says:

There is no such a thing no matter how people choose identity themselves

  18. Amos Krishnan says:

To be honest i never heard of this term. We are called to be sons and daughters of Living God through adoption in Jesus Christ. Bible says Witchcraft is evil and doesn’t belong to the Kingdom of Heaven. Identity in Christ

  19. Ezra Jalin says:

There are reasons why we don’t call prayer as spells and spells as prayer. We don’t make petition to God but prayer is us aligning ourselves to God. Prayer doesn’t alter the universe by petitioning to higher power for it. A lot Christians out there believe that prayer alters the course of life without understanding the sovereignty of God: That God has His desire and prayer is the way to know what is in His heart.

Also, Christians don’t recite incantations, neither praying to angels or saints in heaven. Christians subject to God. We’re told not to be repetitious in our prayers.

Witchcraft is opposition to God’s authority and sovereignty. Hence, Christian witches are no-no.

  22. Madison Willoughby says:

Here’s what the Bible has to say:

Exodus 22:18: “A sorceress must not be allowed to live.” Why? Because God did not want His people getting advice from the devil!
Leviticus 19:31: God is speaking to His people, the people of Israel, when He said, “Do not rely on mediums and psychics, for you will be defiled by them. I, the Lord, am your God.”

Leviticus 20:6-7: “If any among my people are unfaithful by consulting and following mediums or psychics, I will turn against them and cut them off from the community. So, set yourselves apart to be holy, for I, the Lord, am your God.”

Deuteronomy 18:9-12-14: “When you arrive in the land the Lord your God is giving you, be very careful not to imitate the detestable customs of the nations living there. For example, never sacrifice your son or daughter as a burnt offering. And do not let your people practice fortune-telling or sorcery, or allow them to interpret omens, or engage in witchcraft, or cast spells, or function as mediums or psychics, or call forth the spirits of the dead. Anyone who does these things is an object of disgust and horror to the Lord. It is because the other nations have done these things that the Lord your God will drive them out ahead of you. You must be blameless before the Lord your God. The people you are about to displace consult with sorcerers and fortune-tellers, but the Lord your God forbids you to do such things.”

In 1 Samuel 28:3, Saul had banned all mediums and psychics from Israel because of God’s command to have nothing to do with them. In 1 Samuel 28:7, Saul himself went on the hunt of a medium because he’d fallen out of favor with God and God refused to answer his prayers.

In 1 Chronicles 10:13-14, we learn that Saul died because he was unfaithful to God when he consulted the Witch of Endor. (He disobeyed God by looking to something other than God for guidance, so God took his life).

In Ecclesiastes 9:5-6 the Bible teaches: “The living at least know they will die, but the dead know NOTHING. They have no further reward, nor are they remembered. Whatever they did in their lifetime, loving, hating, envying, is all long gone. They no longer have a part in ANYTHING here on earth.” People who have died are gone. They are without the ability to speak to anyone who is alive. They have no knowledge of anything which is living and they are without the ability to communicate because they are DEAD! Now, the spirit world, the world inhabited by Satan and his demons, the dark evil spirits who stand in opposition to God and His Angels, are as real as God and His Angels. Even though they can mimic people who have died and left this world, and convincingly disguise themselves as angels of light (2 Corinthians 11:14), they are evil and they have ONLY evil intentions toward anyone who is living because their objective is to separate people from God. Taking God’s created children from Him is the only effective method Satan has to cause God pain. Satan works tirelessly to hurt God and people are nothing to Satan but an expendable resource. Every person Satan can convince of his fake ‘goodness’ is just another notch in his belt, one more stab at the heart of God for losing another child of his.

In Acts 16:16-19 we learn of a girl who was possessed by a demon who was used by her owners to tell fortunes to make a lot of money. She followed the Apostle Paul around for days, heckling him about his work on behalf of God, until she annoyed him past the point where he could take it, so he turned and cast the demon out of the girl, setting her free from the evil spirit. This story is a New Testament explanation of the truth behind the lies of mediums, psychics and the like.

This is the reason I wrote my original comment of warning: Ephesians 5:11: “Take no part in worthless deeds of evil and darkness; instead, rebuke and expose them.”

There is God who is Holy, and there is Satan, who is unholy. EVERY person chooses for themselves which of these they will serve. If you think that Satan does not have priests and pastors planted all over this world who will encourage you to do his dark work of leading others away from God, you are deceived beyond what I’ve described here. God gave us the Bible, His autobiography, so we can read what He wants us to know about Him, and about his enemy, Satan. Choose Jesus and choose life! In Christian Service, Madison ✝️?

  23. Johny Goodwin says:

    Mutually exclusive words

  24. Christian Bighead says:

Guys, I do not actually believe in Christian witches, I am doing this for
    A.) the sake of debate
    And
B.) because I like to see more than one opinion. (Preferably backed by a resource)

  25. Trish Cunningham says:

Exactly what is your definition of “witch”? And I guess you could ask what did OT & NT authors mean when they used the term? Biblically, a case can be made for godly prophetesses, but not witches, from what I understand on the common use of the terms.

  26. Crist Glen says:

There is no such a thing as “christian witches”. It seems like you were asking “what are your thoughts on flat earth” ?

  27. Jason Greene says:

First things first, I can’t take anyone seriously or respectfully with a name like that or an user with the confederate flag as their profile picture. “Heritage not hate?” That’s as foolish as the question he’s posing. Admins do better.

  28. Grace Williams says:

    Is this a joke?

  29. Jo Kothenbeutel says:

    There is no such thing.

Witchcraft is banned in the Bible.

    #2 Witches were executed

#3 attempting to Communicate with the dead is banned

    #4 Its a different religion

  30. Dwight Osborne says:

No such thing as a “Christian ” witch. A witch of any kind is a child of satan

  31. Sally Barron says:

There is no such thing, it’s impossible to be a witch and a Christian. You can lie to yourself, try to combine the two, tell yourself it’s not “evil” witch craft, just spells to help others, ( you would never hurt anyone, being kind and loving is what Jesus wants) call it “wish” craft, or any other nonsense to ease your conscience. One day though, sooner for some, later for others, you will make the choice, renounce the occult completely, or totally embrace it. I’m talking from experience, no one knows the seductive power of the occult like someone who’s been there. The idea that Christianity and witchcraft can be compatIble is a lie from the devil himself. If your thinking about it or dabling in it, RUN as fast as you can.

  32. Becky Qilavvaq says:

Oxymoron. If someone claimed that title, they are not of God, be sure of that

  33. Delissa Fry says:

    No such thing!☹️

  34. Clive Samuels says:

Witchcraft is a sin. It is demonic and will lead you to HELLFIRE FOREVER.

  35. Rebecca Ann Nelson says:

First off I would like to apologize to you for the rudeness of my fellow Christians accusing you of being a fake account. They are not acting very Christlike.
Second the Bible says witchcraft is a sin so if you encounter anyone claiming to be a Christian witch give them these verses:

    Leviticus 19:31 ESV
“Do not turn to mediums or necromancers; do not seek them out, and so make yourselves unclean by them: I am the Lord your God.

    Exodus 22:18 ESV
“You shall not permit a sorceress to live.

    Leviticus 20:27 ESV
“A man or a woman who is a medium or a necromancer shall surely be put to death. They shall be stoned with stones; their blood shall be upon them.”

    Revelation 21:8 ESV
But as for the cowardly, the faithless, the detestable, as for murderers, the sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars, their portion will be in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur, which is the second death.”

    Leviticus 20:6 ESV
“If a person turns to mediums and necromancers, whoring after them, I will set my face against that person and will cut him off from among his people.

    1 Samuel 15:23 ESV
For rebellion is as the sin of divination, and presumption is as iniquity and idolatry. Because you have rejected the word of the Lord, he has also rejected you from being king.”

    Galatians 5:19-21 ESV
Now the works of the flesh are evident: sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, rivalries, dissensions, divisions, envy, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these. I warn you, as I warned you before, that those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.

    2 Chronicles 33:6 ESV
And he burned his sons as an offering in the Valley of the Son of Hinnom, and used fortune-telling and omens and sorcery, and dealt with mediums and with necromancers. He did much evil in the sight of the Lord, provoking him to anger.

    Deuteronomy 18:9-12 ESV
“When you come into the land that the Lord your God is giving you, you shall not learn to follow the abominable practices of those nations. There shall not be found among you anyone who burns his son or his daughter as an offering, anyone who practices divination or tells fortunes or interprets omens, or a sorcerer or a charmer or a medium or a necromancer or one who inquires of the dead, for whoever does these things is an abomination to the Lord. And because of these abominations the Lord your God is driving them out before you.

    Revelation 22:15 ESV
Outside are the dogs and sorcerers and the sexually immoral and murderers and idolaters, and everyone who loves and practices falsehood.

    Isaiah 8:19 ESV
And when they say to you, “Inquire of the mediums and the necromancers who chirp and mutter,” should not a people inquire of their God? Should they inquire of the dead on behalf of the living?

    Deuteronomy 18:10 ESV
There shall not be found among you anyone who burns his son or his daughter as an offering, anyone who practices divination or tells fortunes or interprets omens, or a sorcerer

    Acts 19:19 ESV
And a number of those who had practiced magic arts brought their books together and burned them in the sight of all. And they counted the value of them and found it came to fifty thousand pieces of silver.

    1 Chronicles 10:13-14 ESV
So Saul died for his breach of faith. He broke faith with the Lord in that he did not keep the command of the Lord, and also consulted a medium, seeking guidance. He did not seek guidance from the Lord. Therefore the Lord put him to death and turned the kingdom over to David the son of Jesse.

    Micah 5:12 ESV
    And I will cut off sorceries from your hand, and you shall have no more tellers of fortunes;

  36. Rachael Lopez says:

Light has nothing to do with darkness, there’s no such thing as a Christian witch

  37. Lyn Zee says:

I know lots of well intentioned Christians who speak badly of others.
When you say things like, “I can’t stand that person. They need to take a long walk off a short pier” you’re speaking trouble or even death over them.
As I’ve said 100’s of times in this group, the mind is the battle field. We must train ourselves to think on things lovely, pure, noble, true, excellent, admirable, praiseworthy, etc.

  38. Judy White says:

My understanding of witchcraft is that it is a manipulation of the will. Christianity is about relationship, the freedom to choose to submit my will to the lordship of Jesus. One can’t submit and manipulate.

  39. Eldon Munyon III says:

Well saying there are not christian witches is like sayings dogs cant comprehend humans lol it all depends on the individuality of that being therefore there could be a christian witch and it would be a good witch and most likely born with such power

  40. Erek Cyr says:

Check out Walter Martin on YouTube and you will see a plethora of his debates on taboo topics like this.

Also, his book on “Kingdom of the Cults” and “Kingdom of the Occult” are great.

The big question is who is Jesus Christ! Know the difference between exegesis and eisegesis. We live in a postmodern culture where absolute truth is pushed to the wayside and subjective truth is front and center. There is no such thing as a “Christian Witch”, you might as well look for a one ended stick! If this is the path, so be it, but don’t confuse others and let them think this is Christianity, and by so doing, heap up wrath for yourself on the day of judgment.

Scripture abhors this and the result of those who push forward in this direction may end up hearing those unfortunate words in Matthew 7:13-21!

  44. Richard Mascioli says:

The Law for Israel in the Old Testament of the Bible gave the death penalty for anyone practicing witchcraft. We do not kill anyone under the New Covenant, but I’m pretty sure that God is not cool with it.

  45. Markus Ramchiary says:

  46. Arnelle's Page says:

As water and oil do not mix, neither does Christianity and witchcraft.

  47. Tom Lynn says:

    no such thing.

  48. Victor Van Der Woude says:

Nonsense question not worthy of debate.

  49. Marion Silvestre says:

No such thing as a Christian witch. All witches are evil. They believe that they are a power unto themselves.
Very often in order to recruit people out of Christianity, witches convince people that you can be both. It won’t hurt anything, you can be a good witch. No such thing as a good witch. Over time, the person is more and more drawn into witchcraft and forget all about Christ.

Exodus 22:18 – Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live.

1 John 4:1 – Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.

Deuteronomy 18:9-14 – When thou art come into the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee, thou shalt not learn to do after the abominations of those nations. There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch, Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer. For all that do these things are an abomination unto the LORD: and because of these abominations the LORD thy God doth drive them out from before thee. Thou shalt be perfect with the LORD thy God. For these nations, which thou shalt possess, hearkened unto observers of times, and unto diviners: but as for thee, the LORD thy God hath not suffered thee so to do.

Leviticus 20:27 – A man also or woman that hath a familiar spirit, or that is a wizard, shall surely be put to death: they shall stone them with stones: their blood shall be upon them.

Leviticus 19:31 – Regard not them that have familiar spirits, neither seek after wizards, to be defiled by them: I am the LORD your God.

Galatians 5:19-21 – Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

Acts 13:8-10 – But Elymas the sorcerer (for so is his name by interpretation) withstood them, seeking to turn away the deputy from the faith. Then Saul, (who also is called Paul,) filled with the Holy Ghost, set his eyes on him, And said, O full of all subtilty and all mischief, thou child of the devil, enemy of all righteousness, wilt thou not cease to pervert the right ways of the Lord?

2 Corinthians 11:14 – And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.

Revelation 21:8 – But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

1 Samuel 28:7 – Then said Saul unto his servants, Seek me a woman that hath a familiar spirit, that I may go to her, and enquire of her. And his servants said to him, Behold, there is a woman that hath a familiar spirit at Endor.

Deuteronomy 18:9-12 – When thou art come into the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee, thou shalt not learn to do after the abominations of those nations. There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, that useth divination, an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch, Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer. For all that do these things are an abomination unto the LORD: and because of these abominations the LORD thy God doth drive them out from before thee.

Acts 19:18-20 – And many that believed came, and confessed, and shewed their deeds. Many of them also which used curious arts brought their books together, and burned them before all: and they counted the price of them, and found it fifty thousand pieces of silver. So mightily grew the word of God and prevailed.

2 Kings 21:6 – And he made his son pass through the fire, and observed times, and used enchantments, and dealt with familiar spirits and wizards: he wrought much wickedness in the sight of the LORD, to provoke Him to anger.

    1 Chronicles 10:13 – So Saul died for his transgression which he committed against the LORD, against the word of the LORD, which he kept not, and also for asking counsel of one that had a familiar spirit, to enquire of it;

Revelation 22:15 – For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.

1 Peter 5:8 – Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:

Acts 16:16-19 – And it came to pass, as we went to prayer, a certain damsel possessed with a spirit of divination met us, which brought her masters much gain by soothsaying: The same followed Paul and us, and cried, saying, These men are the servants of the most high God, which shew unto us the way of salvation. And this did she many days. But Paul, being grieved, turned and said to the spirit, I command thee in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her. And he came out the same hour. And when her masters saw that the hope of their gains was gone, they caught Paul and Silas, and drew them into the marketplace unto the rulers,

Isaiah 47:8-12 – Therefore hear now this, thou that art given to pleasures, that dwellest carelessly, that sayest in thine heart, I am, and none else beside me; I shall not sit as a widow, neither shall I know the loss of children: But these two things shall come to thee in a moment in one day, the loss of children, and widowhood: they shall come upon thee in their perfection for the multitude of thy sorceries, and for the great abundance of thine enchantments. For thou hast trusted in thy wickedness: thou hast said, None seeth me. Thy wisdom and thy knowledge, it hath perverted thee; and thou hast said in thine heart, I am, and none else beside me. Therefore shall evil come upon thee; thou shalt not know from whence it riseth: and mischief shall fall upon thee; thou shalt not be able to put it off: and desolation shall come upon thee suddenly, which thou shalt not know. Stand now with thine enchantments, and with the multitude of thy sorceries, wherein thou hast laboured from thy youth; if so be thou shalt be able to profit, if so be thou mayest prevail.

James 2:19 – Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.

By the way, the witch that Saul spoke to in 1 Samuel 28:7 is where they got the name for the character Endora in the tv show Bewitched.
