Can Authentic Christians learn any good practices from false religions?

You can find good in anything. Just not “good” in the context of the biblical definition of “good”.

In as much as the Moral Law is written on all human hearts and God’s common grace extends to the just and unjust, sure.

Absolutely. Everything can teach us something. I mean what do you have against setting aside times to pray to God like the Muslims do? Or caring fir people and animals like bhuddists do?

IF You are not rooted in the word of god it is best to leave false religions alone. when I firs became saved; iwanted to be sure of salvation so I went to the library and studied every book I could think of about religion. I first started out with islam then ended up with demonology. it was by the grace of god omnipotent through his son the lord jesus Christ I did not gey carried a way.

I don’t know what an authentic christian is. From my perspective a lot of christianity is rehashing or retellings of more ancient stories. Most christians holidays are rip offs of pagan and roman celebrations.

Sure, but it is a fine line to walk, one that we have to be incredibly careful in so we don’t embrace religious pluralism. There are concepts in other religions I admire a great deal, but, in that admiration, I need to make certain it does not change my Christianity.

I do believe so. I believe we can learn as much from them as we learn from our own bible and other believers. JMHO.

Bad manners corrupt good habits. The Bible transforms our minds and hearts to have good manners if we study it and apply its teachings. The good habits will follow.

No. Study the Bible so you will know false doctrine when you come up against it.

If there are any good practices it should be observable from the Bible. Christians don’t believe in multiple ways to G-d so trying to pick and choose from other religions is a heresy.

I don’t see how. Religion is man trying to reach God. Christianity is God coming down to man. Religion itself doesn’t believe nor teach this

Yes. They can learn how to evangelize by knowing a bit of their background.

They can learn, they can also practice it. But what do the bible say? If you know its wrong, do not do it for you already know its wrong.
Its like looking in the mirror and saw yourself have a dirt in your face. Wont you remove that dirt or just leave it there? There’s a verse for that, i just forgot where (help me find it ?).
Also, the Lord encourage us to read and study the bible so we wont sin without us knowing. He said, people suffer because we lack knowledge (hosea 4:6 if im correct).
So read the bible so we wont be astray.

Their method of salvation may be wrong..but they may have a principle or two that Christianity has missed

I think so, as long as you have a solid understanding of your faith, so you can parse the errors from the good stuff. I knew some immature Christians in high school who were attracted to the social fabric of the LDS church and seriously considered converting, not knowing about the problematic theology of Mormonism.

No, but false religions have learned “some” good practices from Christianity !

Learn? Like what? Unbelievers are blind to the Holy revelation/inspiration of God Himself, so it is written in the Holy Scriptures, …. unless you mean …. by no longer following after what unbelievers do.

Yes, we can learn from false relgions. HOWEVER, we can ALSO learn from the dark passages in our own bible.

Yes from the yehova witnesses, example: theren strong belief over the Work of and from Street Evangelisation, but in my personal mind we are must learning first of all from the ministry from Lord Jesus Christ, because there is books and books for Pastors etc, but to day a lot of Pul Pit Members can not bring People to Jesus direct from the streets and places outside from our Churches, my Organisation YWAM do this Daily and Daily world wide.

Tim Spangler, Yes Christains can learn from dalse religion, For an example, look how smartly dresed the JWs and Mormons are, whereas a lot of Christain minister are very scruffy as to how they dress. They have no respect for God or their ministry. At least false religions look like they respect theit god. They but some Christians to shame.
