Zoom is working well for us for church. After the sermon and benediction, we also meet in groups by location. So, we get to talk to people, too! I look forward to it. But, I do miss the music in church. And try and remember WE are the church, not the building!

  7. Chet Gaskins says:

Yes we went. We stopped meeting for six weeks. It became very apparent that the “shutdown ” was mostly political. Town and stores stayed pack. Factories kept running. We took common sense precautions and started back last week.

How sad churches have not been included.?

Our church in Arizona was having outside “drive-in church”. Now we’re in transition, having both inside and outside stages with some people doing each. Social distancing for both of course.

Our state is wide open but our pastors are fast asleep like a bunch of RIP Van Winkle’s who will not wake up to a high school band. It is terrible!!

Our church was online this morning and will be again next Sunday. They plan to open on 6/7, but they’ll also continue with online for vulnerable people and anyone who else prefers more time.
Yes, the nation needs to open, but we need personal responsibility.

  18. Larry Koester says:

IT will be a few weeks yet perhaps before the church I belong to has impersonal services.. But the residence is still on full lockdown, no one in or our except workers and medical. And I ecpecect we will watch the consequences in the state begmfore we open again to the public. This is an assisted living institution. THE STATE numbers are working upward but thankfully not skyrocketing. During the lo kdown there have been no colds or flu at all which is unusual for this time of year. I gmhad a cold back during advent.
