How should Christians deal with going to church while covid-19 is still on the loose? Should we go or not?
Does it show a lack of faith or wisdom to maintain social measures until it’s dealt with?
Where do you stand personally? ?

My stance is based off numbers. The stats show the virus has been blow out of proportion especially for those who aren’t “high” risk. Myself and my family will be at church the day the doors open.
Trust the church and the people. If the pastor can hold service and minimize risk, then go ahead.

God does mention in Ex. 2(1?5?) That there are consequences for things like this, so, caution. If there is a way to go about it safely, sure.
Well, Some people trust in the government and media but some people trust in God Almighty. Make your choice.

It would depend on size.Larger numbers would be like going to a football game.Smaller numbers like a smaller grocer…social distance and praise

Not the healthy.
Fear not. Data shows it’s not what the media makes it out to be. Its more a lack of wisdom for society to buy into the fear, panic, and confusion.

God used the leader of the US nation to say the churches are essential. Besides, this covid isn’t anything to worry about. It’s a real virus sure. It has a patent number which means it’s man made. But it’s no more dangerous than a flu.

When the angel of Death was coming, God told the Israelites to stay home. I have been using all the spiritual tools available on the internet. And our Sabbath school is on Zoom.
True Christians have power and authority. They aren’t scared. Fear only belongs to the dark side.
My pastor still doesn’t have services at the building. He still does it online just to be safe.
Christians should make their own choices in this regard and not burden each other with any other yoke.
Good points and reasoning by everyone. Could it be since we as a body do not all yet have the same measure of faith or wisdom that both views and decisions can be considered appropriate in God’s eyes?

We need to follow the governance in the earth because every governance is from God. If Church is a group of believers, therefore, two or more is enough to create a church. A family who prays together, Jesus is in their midst.
I’ve seen covid-19 take out pastors and church members, and I see some not harmed at all yet.
Maybe the Lord wanted to use this circumstance to show us that the church is not a place but the people and we should be about our Father’s business .
Go or stay home. If you are vulnerable, such as me, stay home
Go and wear a mask if needed. Forget social distancing–not possible. No shame on going, no shame in staying home
I’m staying home but churches aren’t allowed to open at the moment. I wouldn’t risk it anyway for a while. No I’m not scared but God gave me wisdom and common sense and I feel I should use it
Well, who would still go to Church if all of us are now become victims of the virus ? If not going to Church will help preserve people’s lives then , next time we hold services too many revivals will take place because many of us are as if come to life again after quarantine and lockdown – because we want to help stop the fast spread of the virus and soon be banished from the land.
I was there early on May 3 for our first time back…I need being with like minded Christians to worship my lord and savior…
I am an Medevac pilot, and fly covid patients all day long. So I know how to protect myself. So I do go to church. I sit by my self. I bring 60% hand sanitizer. I don’t hug or shake hands (makes me sad). And I wear a basic procedural mask. No communion. But I get to be in common Union with my church family.
So while I do firmly believe God works all things for good. So either I get sick or I don’t. Either way God’s will, will be done. But God also gave me a functioning brain, so I don’t go on faith alone. I take personal accountability. After all a man reaps what he sows.
Go with your conscience. Anything not done in Faith is sin. I will be attending as soon as my church opens up.
What about if it won’t go as WHO predicted ?
Personally I believe it shows the world that Christian’s are weak for not continuing in our church and other matters. When the world needed strength that should of come from us. Christian’s started a lot of the humanitarian service which included working with the diseased and the sick. The 1st hospital was founded by Ben Franklin and another. Ben was a Christian. I know people will disagree with me but that won’t change my belief. God bless to you all. Remember, fear God and only God because fear of anything else shows a lack of faith in He who saved us.
See Genesis 8. Noah could have come out in verse 13. He waited for God and did not exit the ark until verse 18.

We are the church, but you know that already.
I will use wisdom in taking care of my family. We have a toddler, so I don’t know how you keep them a safe distance from other children, who btw have come to the nursery sick in the past.
We are a saved household. My wife, my 21 old Marine, 13 yr old and our youngest has been preached the gospel since he was in the womb. We’ve have an average of 4 Bible studies a week for the last 8 to 9 weeks. So spiritually we are good.
We will wait a bit. My mother in law has some medical issues and my wife would like to hold off on regular fellowship in order to keep her mom safe.
Me, I’m good either way. I do love the fact that church buidings are opening up and hope they are good stewards of the congregation. I’m a church guy and don’t usually miss church.
What I really miss more that the fellowship, is preaching the gospel in prison and going out to evangelize.
Give to ceaser what belongs to ceaser and give to God what belongs to God.

We are the temple of the Holy spirit. We are the church.
If state and county governments approve opening Phase 1, and the pastors refuse to open saying not safe when country approves safe to proceed, then members have reason common sense to ask why the doors are still locked.
I am not afraid of this covid, by I do take necessary measures. You’ll never know who’ll get infected, even those frontliners with PPEs get to be infected, there are also those who stay home and even those who are locked down on cells have been contaminated..so noone is sure safe, only God can give us the “protection” we need.. I will go to church whenever it is permitted, I would even pray for those infected if they let me.
If God would end my purpose thru this virus, I will abide and be happy. I would do everything to give him glory, as much as I can. ?
I take precautions because I am in active tx for cancer and am on oxygen. If I do venture out, rarely, I wear an n95 mask, sanitize my hands and wash my hands when I get home. We have been very blessed here in that no deaths and no one in the hospital from this
Exactly the same way you’ve been going about other activities and events with caution and restrictions, the Church should be seen as that.
The virus doesn’t get transmitted by contact so nothing wrong with sitting next to each other but with mask on if your faith said so especially when you want to talk or someone wants to be heard. Thanks

Do all those who advocate going to church despite government / scientific advice plan to drive on the wrong side of the road, ignore traffic lights and speed limits, while refusing to wear seatbelts? We are called to trust God, but we are to be sensible too.
With such a contagious virus it is up to us to protect each other. God has provided the technology in 2020 to have church online. With older members and social distancing we can create an environment for them to attend church online with a few people. Online church is not great but it provides a solution to not going. I praise God that I can assist our older members to attend online with others in a large room.
To me, this seems so much like a Romans 14 problem.
Did God finish the work with you in solitude?
Take example from the plague that killed all the first born in Egypt.
God told them to remained inside the house and I’m sure if any of the Israelites went out and meet that plague he/she will die.
So, stay safe at home and continue to pray. God can answer any prayer outside the Church. Heart is the matter not the gathering.
Because I can worship at my home I don’t think it is worth going to church where social distancing is ineffective. Accordingly I will not go to Church for now.
You can have church with your family at home church leaders need to use wisdom and protect the people.
My Dr told me that singing spreads the virus so much faster. I have an auto immune disease so I can’t go back yet. It’s a personal decision for everyone though.
Government says over and over it is Safe. It is Safe. Open the Church doors. It is Safe.
Coronsvirus is real but it is being over hyped to cause fear. Hospitals are saying people are dying from it when in reality they are not doctors and nurses came out and said the same thing. The Coronsvirus is being as a weapon on us the American people not just Christians. It’s more than just the Coronsvirus going on it’s deeper

We CAN and should, until this virus is contained, worship, and assemble and fellowship via various Online Teleconference Platforms. It is a lack of wisdom at the very least to ignore the potential threat of this virus that has already killed 100,000 Americans, and is no respecter of race, gender, age, denomination or political affiliation.
We worship our Lord, not for show but because He is our Creator and His Son, our God died for us. We worship each day and go to a building where Christian assemble to worship as a body of believers. Faith is not restricted to where we worship. Paul worshipped in homes, alone and at Synagogues and daily. I feel it is smart depending on your age to use common sense.
The church is not within the walls….if you are spirit baptized, you are the church!!!
I have diabetes and a blood clotting disorder. I have to work still (with our doors locked so I only interact with coworkers. Which I still dont like, but bills have to be paid) I am trying to cut down on my contact with people. So I watch online when it’s on. I’m missing the interaction though. So I’m thinking about going back. The thing that goes through my head is that God has an appointed time for me. I cant change that. Maybe it’s with this virus, maybe not. So I have really been thinking I’m going back to church soon.
Our Lord and savior commanded us not to forsake the fellowship. The reality is this virus is far LESS dangerous than the flu. If you don’t have a weakend ammune system, or any respiratory problems, and your not I’ll your self, than you should not be ashamed in the least to go to church.
Have church in your home. What if Covid was so the church could get back to how they were supposed to be (i.e. Acts)
People are the church,
We keep social distance, wear masks, leave offering plate on table, put bulletin info, songs, Scriptures on our projection screen.
It is vital to open back up and meet in person. Let God be bigger than the fear of a virus that can only kill the body. You can’t protect yourself 100% of the time so why not expose yourself to worship the one that died for you, for me!
In my humble opinion, I think smaller congregations that can easily practice true social distancing, that’s ok.
I believe larger churches should add services 2 or 3 if needed. They want to be warriors for the Lord nows the time to step up. I think home meetings are not in anyone best interests. The church you leave the germs people bring to someone s home they are living in it.
I think there are enough intelligent ways to bring the body in a modified capacity together and remain safe.
If you’re afraid don’t go. If you’re partially afraid wear a mask. If you’re not afraid go. Live your life.
If you are one those worldly Christians or carnal Christian that attend a church but have no relationship with God then your heart and mind are not renewed by the Holy Spirit. They cannot understand the things of the Spirit of God because they are spiritually discerned. Because of the coronavirus we must use our spiritual gift of discernment. That is the accuracy, as in the ability to see the truth. Spiritual discernment is the ability to tell the difference between truth and error. It is basic to having wisdom. Until we have a standard testing, tracing, and treatment plan in operating. Coming into our places of worship (for now) is liken to going into a sporting event or a pack concert with no mask or social distancing. The CDC recommend we use mask as well social distancing when we enter the public domain. You may or may not know the person next to you while attending services or who they been in contact. If we want to send time with God He tells us to go into our “secret place,” where we can meet God one-on-one. When we spend time alone with God, we learn more about Him. Spending time in our “secret place” with God is one way of choosing the Spirit over the flesh. This idea of a secret place is not a call to a monastic existence but only until our behavior change that God will forgive us and relent this virus. It is also not a call to make our spiritual lives secretive or private. Corporate worship, praying with and for one another, and all that is involved in Christian fellowship, it has a very important place in our Christian walk.
