If you believe Christians can’t stop sinning on this earth, please state the sin(s) you can’t stop and why.

If you believe that you can attain perfection or sinless perfection you’re fooling yourself. Everyone sins everyday in one way or another it’s in our nature, that’s why we need a savior because even when we do sin and fall short he forgives us automatically because we’re human and as Christians hate sin. When you become saved Christ gives us the Holy Spirit that convicts us of sin, righteousness, and judgment. When you have the Holy Spirit and God works through you it’s a gift and glorifies God. If you could be sinless at any point in time then there would no point for Jesus to die on the cross or the outpouring of the Holy Spirit. The only time you will stop sinning completely is when you die.
I dont. God said, “Be Holy, for I am Holy”
-1 Peter 1:6
He wont command us something He knows we cant do. Maybe He knows its hard for us but not impossible. Because it is also said “Nothing is impossible with God.”
-Luke 1:37 ?
Are you saying Seth Iris, that you are able not to sin?
It is not sins per se, but rather believers still retain a sin nature with the proclivity or propensity to sin. Believers live with a tension between the new born again nature and the old Adamic sin nature as Paul expressed in Gal.5:17. Paul also did a treatise of his struggle with the sin nature in Rom.7:7-25. Given the believer’s sin nature, a believer can still live a victorious, overcoming life that glorifies the Lord.
By wearing socks or underwear made of two types of threads.
Mat_17:21 Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting.
How to get rid of your demons.
A lot in the old testament. Like, I cannot stop eating lobster, crabs, shrimp and crawfish. I am also very partial to the breathable wicking technology of my mixed fabric shirts.
New testament.. Heresy – since scripture is highly interpretable, hard to follow scripture, even when I was a believer. Questioning – I have always been inquisitive. Chambering – my girlfriend and I own a house together, so live and sleep together while not married. Jesting – I often tell jokes and say silly stuff for laughter. Mockery – I often make fun of things I find silly. Lack of faith – I require appropriate levels of evidence for claims. At times an unforgiving heart – somethings I do not think should be forgiven.
Romans chapter 7
Jesus’ model prayer says, “Forgive us our debts (sins) as we forgive those who trespass (sin) against us.” If it weren’t possible for the redeemed to sin, why did He include this line in a prayer intended to demonstrate the best way to pray?
Boasting…
Romans 7:16, If then I do that which I would not, I consent unto the law that it is good.
I JOHN 1:8 if we say we have no sin we are deceiving ourselves and the truth is not in us
Because the world, the flesh and the devil are a constant battle
Since, as James wrote, to break one law is to be guilty of all (James 2:10), I see no justification for anyone to confess to the billions on Facebook what their personal sins are. As long as we are in this flesh, we will never be sinless, be we can and, with the help of the indwelling Holy Spirit, do, sin less.
All ten of the big ten. Especially #1
Oh, forgot to explain why, because I’m still a sinner and will be till I die.
You are implying it’s ‘possible’ to stop sinning.
I would submit you don’t understand the Biblical idea of sin.
You sin outwardly because of internal thoughts.
Those internal thoughts ARE sin. If you EVER have a sinful thought you show yourself to have a sinful heart and stand guilty.
In other words sinful thoughts come from a sinful heart.
Loving God is a thought sin.
Coveting is a thought sin.
Adultery is a thought sin.
Murder, theft, even thinking to yourself ‘this guy is an idiot (fool) is a thought sin and shows you have a sinful heart.
Stopping outward sins is definitely good, but it’s like picking fruit off a poisonous tree.
Picking fruit off a poisonous tree doesn’t fix the tree. You need a NEW tree. I need a NEW heart.
If you have EVER sinned you show yourself to be a sinner.
A sleeping person is just as sinful as someone awake, they just can’t produce the sinful fruit of their sinful nature.
Everything we do is affected by our sinful nature. There’s always at least a pound of flesh involved in every good deed, including seeking God.
The OP is clear and simple yet most didn’t dare answer. No one gave a single sin that can’t be stopped.
We all have our own share of pride. Though we learn to be humble at times but there are situations that we will struggle over it. To say that you are humble is also a sense of pride in my honest opinion.
We are all guilty of sins of ommission.
James 4:17 KJV
Therefore to him that knoweth to do GOOD, and DOETH IT NOT, to him it is SIN.
Praying is good but many don’t pray as often as we should.
Reading the Bible is good but we don’t read as often as we should.
Thanking God in everything is good but sometimes we forgot to give thanks when we eat our snacks ?
Saying that “I can stop sinning while on this earth” is a sin.
“All have sinned and come short of the Glory of God.”
“God is God” To Him should believers repent and confess …. for He knows all already.
Anger against people who can’t accept simple truth like “all have sinned”
With no ability to stop sin there could be no obligation to stop sin; which means there would be no obligation to stop the sin of unbelief. Universalism would be true.
