Something to think about.

The Apostle Paul, one the greatest apologists, he always reasoned with his opponents presenting the true gospel with love and not once did he argue or quarrel with his opponents.

1 But some men came down from Judea and were teaching the brothers, “Unless you are circumcised according to the custom of Moses, you cannot be saved.” 2 And after Paul and Barnabas had no small dissension and debate with them, Paul and Barnabas and some of the others were appointed to go up to Jerusalem to the apostles and the elders about this question. (Acts 15:1-2, ESV)

11 But when Cephas came to Antioch, I opposed him to his face, because he stood condemned. 12 For before certain men came from James, he was eating with the Gentiles; but when they came he drew back and separated himself, fearing the circumcision party. (Galatians 2:11-12, ESV)

I wish those who unsettle you would emasculate themselves! (Galatians 5:12, ESV)

  5. Josie Tiscareno says:

    It’s the delivery.

Deliver the message like Christ would.

  6. Jack Johnston says:

Paul was the greatest hijacker of an existing movement to ever walk the earth, so, of course, he had to apologize for his theft of the Jesus’ gospel of the kingdom.

  7. Jack Johnston says:

Yep, Jesus will be delivering quite the message at his second coming according to the book of Revelation from the tip of a sword and the brunt of his rod stepping on the dead bodies as he goes:

KJV Revelation 19:15 And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.

  8. Jono Rosie says:

Jesus debated with the Pharisees. And we don’t know exactly how Paul handled in-person dialogue. Letters are much different than dialogue.

  9. Randy Emmons says:

How about the argument that Paul and Barnabus had over taking Mark with them?
It got so heated and was such a disagreement they departed ways and stopped traveling together.

  10. Cynthia DeSimone says:

We don’t know how emphatic he could have been about his teachings!

  11. Girlie Grimaldo Laña says:

  12. Daniel P Campbell says:

    Paul wasn’t on FB.????

  13. Jacob Hoss says:

Well there was no Facebook in the 1st Century.

  14. Arthur Adam Haglund says:

No that is not something to think about because it’s untrue the Bible says that he argued for years in the synagogues. And the word is argued. Check it in the Greek.

  15. Christopher Scott Moran Jr. says:

Paul rebuked Peter pretty hard for judaizing

  16. Stephen Howsare says:

This presumes mutual discourse and reasoning is possible with both parties, and in this context both honestly seek the truth and acknowledge the truth as it is written.

  17. Jeremiah Waldrop says:

FAKE NEWS – Act 9:29 And he spake boldly in the name of the Lord Jesus, and disputed against the Grecians: but they went about to slay him.

Act 17:17 Therefore disputed he in the synagogue with the Jews, and with the devout persons, and in the market daily with them that met with him.

  18. Bob Jones says:

Wrong what about his feud with Barnabas and his food with Peter, you must have missed them

  19. Joan Figiel McBee says:

Acts 26:24 “And he defending himself with these things, Festus said with a loud voice, Paul you *rave*! Your many letters turned you into *madness*.

  20. RT Junior Khouchung says:

But the group posts are posted for the sake of argument supporting their own position in the doctrinal issue, so you cannot campare our posts with Paul’s way of presenting the gospel.

  21. Kenny Wong says:

Paul spent years to debate in synagogues. You only read his letters. No one argues in his own letters to a church he ministers.

  22. David Okai says:

    Read your Bible well

  23. Ariel Rollepa says:

  24. Kubowaki Julia says:

  25. Chad Turner says:

Not true, he confronted Peter, and accused him openly. It says he withstood him to his face for his hypocrisy.

  26. Ted Rowell says:

lol. I don’t think people really understand how bold the apostles were.
They were not all love and acceptance type preachers.
Paul told the judizers who were enforcing circumcising as law to continue and cut the rest of it off.
Lol. Yeah.. he was a bit confrontational when it came to doctrine.

  27. Keith Schuster says:

Acts 15:1Then some men came down from Judea and were teaching the brothers, “Unless you are circumcised according to the custom of Moses, you cannot be saved.” 2So Paul and Barnabas engaged these men in sharp debate. The two of them were appointed, along with some other believers, to go up to Jerusalem to see the apostles and elders about this question.
