Yes, it felt exciting when they rejoice and busy clapping and cheering you up when you misbehave. You were motivated for short-term reasons such as financial gain, impressing someone, or looking like you are making it. But once you reach that level, it often feels empty. “Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the LORD and turn away from evil. This will bring healing to your body, and refreshment to your inner self.” (Proverbs 3:7-8)
