Salvation is 100% work of God. O% work of men
Salvation is 100% work of God. O% work of men
We have NO ability on our own to reach out to God. It is HIS reaching down to us in the sovereignty of His mercy.
The only contribution of a man to his salvation is SIN. ??✌?
Totally God. Man cannot save himself.
What scriptures did you obey for your salvation?
If that were so, then everyone would be saved.
True. But man must accept this salvation.
James 4:4-8
John 6:37
ALL that the Father gives Me WILL come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will by no means cast out.
John 6:44
NO ONE can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me DRAWS him; and I will raise him up at the last day.
John 6:65
And He said, “Therefore I have said to you that NO ONE can come to Me unless it has been GRANTED to him by My Father.”
What percentage of people who are drawn by God result in Jesus giving them salvation according to these verses? Answer: 100%. God effectually draws His elect.
Yes, there is NOTHING we could do to earn our salvation. It’s a free gift from God.
We are saved by Grace through faith period. Amen
The OP is 100% Precisely Correct and these are the Living Proof in the Scripture –
1.) We are SAVED – NOT OF WORKS!
Ephesians 2:8-9 King James Version (KJV)
8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.
2.) We are SAVED – NOT BY WORKS!
Titus 3:5 King James Version (KJV)
5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;
3.) We are SAVED – NOT ACCORDING TO OUR WORKS!
2 Timothy 1:9 King James Version (KJV)
9 Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began,
and this is the Eternal Covenant – Between the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost – ZERO percent Man happens “BEFORE THE WORLD BEGAN” where the World doesn’t exist yet. God bless.
True. An the design of free will is 100% work of God, and 0% man.
Amen its true.
A true faith comes with good works, otherwise we are just fooling ourselves. Goodworks come from the Father himself, we just need to follow it with love and compassion.
All of God and none of man
Best thing I’ve seen
Here we go again
Yep
And having faith, accepting Jesus is not a work.
IT IS, however a requirement.
Yes, but even a gift needs to be received and accepted. It isn’t yours until you take it. That is what John 1:12 tells us. Receive and beleive are important actions we must take.
Amen!!
” For by grace are ye saved through FAITH, and that not of yourselves; IT IS THE GIFT OF GOD: Not of works lest any man should boast.” ( Ephesians 2:8-9 )
IT IS GOD’S SOVEREIGN WILL TO IMPART THAT FAITH IN US–IT IS THE GIFT OF GOD, THANK YOU LORD!
It’s a cooperation between God and man
Grace of God and faith by men…
Biblically correct
Man has no part
Yes salvation is 100 perfect work of God.. But we still need to respond on it through faith by the grace of God…
Very true. All we did to be saved was believe then we repented. It’s totally free. Those who don’t have the revelation will always argue and bring out foolish debates
Amen. Not of your own efforts lest you brag about it.
Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.
1 Timothy 2:4 KJV
https://bible.com/bible/1/1ti.2.4.KJV
Then they asked him, “What must we do to do the works God requires?” Jesus answered, “The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent.”
John 6:28-29 NIV
You are right, but Ephesians 2:8-10 tells us God has has prepared good works for us to do and a true Christian will do them gladly and thankfully.
Yes, that is word of God.
THAT’S NOT CORRECT.
GOD didn’t create zombies!
Man has a right to choose life or death.
Genesis 2:15-17,2Philippians 2:12-13,Isaiah 1:18-20,Deuteronomy 30:19-20.
???
Yeah evangelism is unnecessary. All will know God and ask for salvation
Then why did Jesus say “obey my commandments” (John 14:15)?
By grace through faith
Why don’t you tell us how exactly one man is elected and another rejected when the gospel is preached.
The Lord is 100% responsible for our salvation (Ephesians 2:8-10), yet we are, with the power of the Holy Spirit to work out our salvation with fear and trembling (Philippians 2:12).
Yeah… I wrestle with the 0% because of the verses directed to us (mankind) about our need to believe, repent, etc. Yeah, Jesus did all of the heavy lifting and only He was able to wash our sins, but you won’t find a verse that reads like, “Don’t worry about salvation, God took care of it, there is literally nothing you have to do. 0% is on you, God did it all for you—now go about your day.” There is obviously our “involvement”.
“For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, so that no one may boast.” (Eph 2:8.9, NASB)
Rom. 3:27 Where then is boasting? It is excluded. By what kind of law? Of works? No, but by a law of faith. 28 For we maintain that a man is justified by faith apart from works of the Law.” (NASB)
Salvation (Justification, Sanctification, Glorification) cannot be quantified. In justification man contributes no works of righteousness toward his salvation from the wrath of God. In Sanctification our good works are the result of God working in us to will and to work (Phil 2:13), and it gives no percentage of the work man does. Glorification, of course must be all the work of God.
True. But this is how we find the heretics. ?
Faith (Salvation in Christ) is a simple response of God’s faithfulness.
So why is he telling us as if we could do anything about it? This is why prayer, evangelism, apologetics, and preaching will change nothing, right? All is predestined by God’s sovereign perfect secret irresistible will, right?
Let me ask anyone a question?… Is it really hard for you(or anyone else) to say…”Thank you Father for granting me belief in your Son that you sent to save me from my sins. I acknowledge that I could not have done this on my own because I was dead in my sins. Thank you for the salvation you have freely given to me. Thank you Father for choosing me first when I did not choose you first. Thank you Father for being faithful, when I was not. I repent of ever thinking that I had something to add to my salvation. I recognize that it has always been you. You are worthy to be praised! Amen!.
Tell me, is there anything wrong with giving God ALL tje glory and then still proclaiming the offer of salvation to the world, knowing that not everyone will be saved? And if they are then I will thank God for causing them to believe. And if they dont, I will still thank God for causing me to believe!
What is your definition of “work”? Your definition and the Bible’s use of the word in context may be very different. People often distort the Bible message due to not defining terms. Sometimes this is intentional, sometimes not. I am not the judge, I am only saying that without a definition the question does not mean much. ?
So God, while he was knitting us together in the womb said this one is going to heaven and this one is going to hell?
Just went through Ephesians 2:1-5 tonight so…. AMEN!!!
I would say salvation requires something of man too, namely putting their trust in Jesus Christ.
The GIFT of salvation, however, i would say is 100% from God.
to say that salvation is 100% work of God and meaning that we do not have a part in that is an error called “QUIETISM” = from the latin “QUIES” = rest since God is doing everythi, we just have to keep quiet and rest !
Are you claiming that choosing to believe in Jesus is not a work?
It is 100% of God’s mercy…
Titus 3:5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us…
[…] Salvation is 100% work of God. O% work of men […]
