What could be the role of so called TRADITION have in developing a personal relationship with God.

It depends on the kind of tradition.
For example, if you and your family practice communion once a week or something it would be a family tradition but as long as the feeling is still there and you don’t do it just out of habit. Or reading your Bible daily, after a while it would be tradition to do it every day at a certain time but if you only do it because it’s tradition than it means nothing. -

Are you referring to tradition in the conceptual sense? Or are you referring to one or more specific traditions?

Traditions are supposed to point us back to the characteristics of God. The reason God instituted different traditions and observances was for the children of Israel to remember God’s goodness and glorify Him (think of how a wedding anniversary is intended to remind married couples of their love and commitment to one another). However, once we humans veer off the intended path, as the children of Israel did, we wind up worshipping our traditions more than God Himself.

Person with relationships with God told the best things they found to do – in that way, tradition (and answers to questions on Facebook, etc) can be extremely helpful. On the other hand, domination by authority over better relationship with God should be actively taken to task, and that authority (or the entire church itself) shunned after appropriate measures to reconcile provable unrepentant sin in that leadership or entire church, just the same as with any Christian.

A personal relationship to me sounds like having a your own butler, which really any tradition can help you with that, if you don’t submit to God’s word over that tradition that is!

Reading the Bible is a tradition. So can be prayer.

Habitually centring God around everything you do. Tho a danger of that is it just becomes routine and you forget the heart of it.
