Let’s not accidently commit the fallacy of equivocation which is when we use the same word but with two different meanings and make it seem like it’s the same meaning.
God cannot die (cease to exist)
Christ died (his spirit departed from his body, leaving a corpse)The second is compatable with God assuming he took on such a body. What he can NOT do is fail to exist.
God can’t die or cease to exist but there’s nothing incoherent about the idea of God departing from a body once it’s destroyed. -

First of all I respect your beleif even my beleif is contrast to your premise.
Allow me to defend my belief on the divine nature Jesus. Through biblical evidences.
My beleif in Jesus divine nature is founded on the Testimony of the Father who said in Isaiah 44:5, that no other God beside him, who is the same God who is calling the son (Jesus) God (Ho theos) in Hebrews 1:8.
Alhough he became man he is still God. Col 2:9.
On the other hand; the death of Jesus doesn’t deny his divine nature, instead it’s the best evidence to prove that he is God for several reasons.
For in John 10:18 Jesus said, “No one takes it from me, but I lay it down of my own accord. I have
authority to lay it down, and I have authority to take it up again. This charge I have received from my Father.”
He died not because he is not God but because, he has the power to give his life and take it back. Of which only God can do.In Hebrews 2:14-18, Jesus death means salavation to mankind.

I beleived that Jesus is God, because this is the testimony of the Father and the Bible. -

Jesus Christ is fully man and fully God… His divine nature doesn’t die ? (duh) … But his also fully human (full human body and full human soul)… What happened on the cross is that his human soul was separated from his human body… That’s how death happens … That’s basic theology btw…

God can do anything He wants that’s why He is God, even so He can die as well as raise Himself back to life again. How dare you think God can NOT do anything for truly all things are possible with God. The issue we all have with God is a lack of knowledge of just who He is and what He can do.

You’re thinking of God in Spirit. God’s spirit cannot die but God subjected himself and came in a human body so that body(the literal body that Christ had) could suffer torment and pain on a wooden cross. He took the wrath of God intended for us sinners upon himself and paid the price.
God has a moral law that is punishable by death and the only way for us to be saved from the consequences of breaking God’s law was for God himself to pay the price for us instead. He took our guilt upon himself through Christ Jesus and gave us in exchange as a free gift, the righteousness of Jesus Christ and in that paid the price for sin satisfying God’s command of righteous required by his perfect law and showing his perfect love towards us.
We cannot earn our salvation by doing good things so our good can outweigh our bad…try that in a court of law. You say…judge, I know I did bad by killing this person but really I’m a good person in general as I give to the poor and and I do this good deeds and that good deeds and so forth…the judge will say well… as a decent human being you ought to do right to your fellow man but you cannot be excused for the murder you committed because you do other good deeds…just like the judge…God’s not going to judge you by your good deeds but by the deeds you wrongfully did and broke his moral law. And the breaking of this law is so serious that God handed down the death sentence upon mankind…we’re all on death row and we just don’t know it…but God made a substitution for us in and through Jesus Christ. The sinless fully man yet fully God…if he is truly God can he then not insert himself into his own creation?
Do some research on the history of Jesus Christ…a real man that really lived on earth and that according to history was crucified and died and was later seen by eye witnesses as resurrected and fully alive…it’s undeniable.
How much evidence will it take for you to believe this to be true? Or is it that it doesn’t matter how much evidence points towards Christ’s resurrection you just choose not to believe because you just don’t want to.
Men love the darkness and hate the light because they love sin because sin is gratification to the flesh or to the body…sin brings pleasure and if they know that there is a God and that it is the God of the Bible then they would need to give up their sin that they love so dearly and the Bible says that the human heart is the most wicked, depraved and deceitful thing…but God says that he will take away your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh…a new heart that loves righteousness and hates sin and give you new desires that will truly fulfill you so that you shall thirst no more.
There is only one mediator between God and man and that is Jesus Christ. No man can come to God lest they come through Jesus Christ. He is the door by which all men must enter in order to get to God.
I pray God draws you to him and gives you a new heart as no man can come to Christ lest God draws him to him.
All who call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved! Confess your sins, repent or turn from them and be baptized in the Lord and God who is faithful and just will forgive you your sins.
He says that he will take your garments that are stained as scarlet and he will wash it even whiter than snow.
He was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities, the chastisement of our peace is upon him and by his stripes we are healed.

In that logic, it is also not possible for God to be born. Yet Christ in the mystery of the incarnation was born. He grew up, died and was resurrected. He is God clothed in flesh.

If Christ had not died then our salvation is not real. There would have been no resurrection, Jesus would not have been risen from the dead. The cross would have not existed. We would all still be dead in our sins. There would have been no hope if Jesus had not died. Read the Bible and ask God to give you understanding. Just like Satan when he through a doubting question to eve did not God say if you eat if this fruit your eyes would be open he deceived Eve. Now would you say God cannot die when clearly the Bible says Jesus died and gave up his spirit. You better read the gospels over again and get a clear picture if scripture!!

The first truth you need to know is that Jesus is one Person who had two natures: a divine nature and a human nature. In other words, Jesus is both God and man. But Jesus has not always been man. If we say that God died on the cross, and if by that we mean that the divine nature perished, this is not possible. God not only created the universe, He sustains it by the very power of His being. As Paul said, “In Him we live and move and have our being” (Acts 17:28). If God dies, everything dies with Him. Obviously, then, God could not have perished on the cross.
Some say, “It was the second person of the Trinity Who died.” That would be a mutation within the very being of God, because when we look at the Trinity we say that the three are one in essence, and that though there are personal distinctions among the persons of the Godhead, those distinctions are not essential in the sense that they are differences in being. Death is something that would involve a change in one’s being.
The atonement was made by the human nature of Christ. Somehow people tend to think that this lessens the dignity or the value of the substitutionary act, as if we were somehow implicitly denying the deity of Christ. It’s the God-man Who dies, but death is something that is experienced only by the human nature, because the divine nature isn’t capable of experiencing death.

Jesus died physically, not spiritually. He Spirit remained intact after his body died. This is proven because he rose again by his Spirit that was intact after his body died. He became the sacrifice for sin, but his spirit didn’t become polluted when he took on our sins, because he took them onto his body so that God would judge them in the flesh of Jesus. His body took on the sin punishment for all people. Jesus rose again from the dead physically, because his Spirit never died. He is the eternal God who can never die. To the contrary he gave people spiritual health and healing by satisfying the just demands of God’s wrath in his flesh that says there must be a shedding of blood for the forgiveness of sins. He is seated with God in heaven now, because when he rose from the dead he ascended into heaven to be with the Father.

My God, who is the God of the bible who created the heavens and earth. He’s not a god that I’ve fabricated in my mind, my God is capable of anything. For the life of me I just can’t comprehend how anyone would limit God and say that He isn’t capable of becoming a man and allow man to put him to death on the cross and then raise himself from the dead. My God is that big of a GOD !!!!! NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE FOR HIM !!!!+!!!!
