Since Christ purchased us with His own blood. Who did He pay?

He paid God and his justice

The wages of sin are death. The life is in the blood.

The One to whom the debt is owed. The One who has the right to demand payment, that is, the Father. The One, True, Righteous Creator God of the universe. He is the One we have sinned against. He is the One who defines and holds the just means of redemption in His hands.

The idea of payment is not strictly accurate. Christ gave his life in order to rescue us from sin and death. He was a representative of the human.race tempted in all points like as we are yet without sin. It was his victory over sin which gave him victory over the grave. Because he had not sinned it was not possible that the grave should hold him. He rose the dead the first fruits of them that sleep. If we believe and are baptised we come out of Adam and get into Christ. 1 Cor 15:21

Jesus’ sacrifice of his body & blood on the cross is the “blood of God” sacrificed onto the Godhead for the redemption of mankind.

God is justice. So Jesus allowed that justice to be executed in His body. Instead of us being judged by God it was placed on Jesus body. Now we are redeemed.

He paid the sin debt that was own to the Father for our transgressions against Him. ” For the wages of sin is death.”

The One demanding the purchase price.
Such a question can lead to more confusion in the minds of those who are already confused. The book of Hebrews speaks volumes about the Great High Priest. Jesus is God in the flesh, yet it also teaches us he was exalted higher than the angels. He became our Great High Priest by the shedding of His blood once for all…. when He entered the tabernacle not made with hands. This is why the veil of the temple tore in two from top to bottom at His death. His purchase satisfied the blood demand of which He demanded in the symbols made through the Old Covenant sacrifices (which could never take away sin).

Full payment was made to He who was offended. Justice demands punishment, otherwise, there is no justice. If murderers were allowed to murder with impunity, the consequences of ignoring justice would be evident. There must be justice. We may think that our sins are not so bad as murder and so don’t need punishment, but they do. The consequences of ignoring justice are hard to understand but real. Jesus took our punishment upon Himself.

“heaven” out eternal home CANNOT be contamniated with even an iota of sin or it would become corrupted. He paid the price that makes us sinless and fit to enter as Co-Heirs. Think of it as what it woudl take to get into a resort and having someone else pay for your stay!

Jesus’s blood paid for our sin debt. We must remember, the Kingdom of Heaven doesn’t work like the world we have to endure living in.

This is where human logic has trouble with Divine wisdom. The question is not whom did he pay but what did our freedom cost. God owes no one nothing, not even an explanation. He is God! His ways are above our ways. We simply cannot bring Him down to our level of logic; we must be taught His logic.

Jesus took the consequences of sin, but being a different type of being, death could not hold him. -

King David gave Wisdom a human characteristic. Why not apply that to Death? Christ died and paid our ransom to Death

So if he paid that why are we still.mortal? We was victorious over sin and death and provided a way of salvation by belief of the good news and baptism into Him. Know ye not that so many of you as were baptised were baptised INTO his death (Rom 6). By baptism we “put on” Christ Gal3:27_¹

Thereafter we have Christ now as a mediator in heaven -

He paid himself! He and the father are one. He will be interceding between him & himself while being at the right hand of God. They’re one, yet only the father knows time. And dont concern yourself with Lucifer when you are in the judgement seat. Because God already knows all our sin. Plus, he was made perfect until sin was found in him (who can say where wickedness came from?) Yet, clearly Jesus said he was a liar and a murderer from the beginning. Questions, are understandable?

Ransom was paid to Satan historically speaking ?

God did. He reconciled us to Himself by Himself.He paid the debt that we owed.

God made an eternal rule that he who sin belong to Satan and the other side….
God is under his under such obligation to fulfil it cos he is faithful and not a liar….no shadow of turning….
But he made a way out of sin which is the sending of saviour who will pay for the debt of sin and restore man to God….
So God paid the debt through Jesus to his faithfulness and righteousness in order to bring us back to him…. -

Its a ransom which has to be paid before God and man. It is a sacrifice. It is not a pay.
