If you’re a Believer and a follower of Christ you are rich beyond measure. ???

God wants us dependent upon Him. If we live in obedient faith, He will provide everything we need.

God doesn’t care about your riches, unless they are a priority or have become a god before God. What God cares about is obedience.

God wants you to desire holiness and glorify His name.

Indeed! He wants you poor in spirit.

Jesus wants us to realize, that we are poor in spirit. If we do, we will persist in seeking, knocking, and asking for spirit. Only those who ask, receive.
Rev.3: “17 You say, “I am rich; I have acquired wealth and do not need a thing.” But you do not realise that you are wretched, pitiful, poor, blind and naked. 18 I counsel you to buy from me gold refined in the fire, so that you can become rich; and white clothes to wear, so that you can cover your shameful nakedness; and salve to put on your eyes, so that you can see.
19 Those whom I love I rebuke and discipline. So be earnest and repent. 20 Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me.”

God opposes when riches (or anything else) become your god.

As Christians, we must value our spiritual wealth in Jesus Christ far above earthly riches.

He wants us holy.

Health wealth prosperity teachers would say that God wants you to be rich and if you pledge a $7.77 to their ministry like that of Rod Parsley then you can expect a blessing. Tell me Rod Parsley which page of the Sears Catalog did you get that bologne?!?

I really don’t believe it’s a yes or no question – some are poor, and that’s God’s will for them, some have “more” money and they’re not chasing greed.

does God want you rich? i read no scripture that says the love of not having money is the root of evil. Abraham, Job, David a man after Gods own heart all these men put God first, not seeking after worldly good, this question is typical Laodicean Rev 3:17 Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing;

I believe God wants us to be comfortable. we’re supposed to be good stewards with what he gives us which means not squandering it and being a cheerful giver. You can get a glimpse into a man’s heart by looking at his bank account and his calendar.

God wants us humble and to be focused on doing His will. Any money we DO have is His and we are simply stewards of it.

I watched your video. Dangerous theology and terrible handling of the Scriptures. It is prosperity preaching at its core. It feeds shame to those who are poor because if God wants them not to be poor, then they can falsely assume from what you’ve taught, they are not blessed of God…. that God is somehow punishing them for their “lack of faith”.
I pray you will repent from this.

Poverty is mental state first. It’s a spirit of lack, God is God of abundance. You can choose to tap into His infinite resources or not. -
He wants you saved more than anything, the rest is secondary. Don’t fall for the poisonous “prosperity gospel”

it’s God’s plan for us is to blessed us to become a blessing to others.But without contentment men became greedy and became the lovers of money the bible said godliness with contentment is great gain, and we should get avoid from any form of greediness.If our motivation of giving is to be rich then that is wrong but if our motivation of giving is a honoring to the one who blessed us then it is the expression of our faith,trust,and Loving God who blessed us in all aspect of our lives.

If you mean financially rich, I am not sure I would wish that upon myself and I wouldn’t wish it upon almost anyone… Why would you suppose God might want everyone to live life financially wealthy? Spiritual wealth dwarfs the importance of material wealth to the point that it is hardly worth the breath to talk about it. Wealth is a distraction.

God knows who he van trust with money and who he can’t. If he sees that all you will is spend it on things that are of no eternal value and not help others with what he entrusts to you he won’t likely allow you to have anything more than you need. We aren’t taking millions to heaven.

Check Deuteronomy 28 and you’ll see the confirmation that poverty is clearly part of the curse

Straight off the bat, the prosperity gospel is not Biblical. One cannot compare the depth of one’s righteousness to the size of one’s pocket. So for me, the question of poverty is a loaded question. Should the rich be helping the poor? Absolutely! Would poverty be as widespread if God’s people commited themselves to helping the poor? Absolutely not! Should every Christian expect to be financially rich? It’s not Biblical! Is it easier for a poor man to enter heaven? Absolutely Biblical! So when we ask ourselves if God wants us to be poor, then we should flip the question over and ask if God wants us to be rich. I suppose it all comes down to the relationship one has with mammon. If mammon has become an idol, then maybe poverty would be a result of divine intervention. It’s a complex question which deserves multiple answers. The ones above are the ones that came to mind.
