Yes.

We may need to define this for lay people…. Could be helpful
-
Absolutely biblical, though for some reason “dispensationalism” has become a new four-letter word.
-
Yes, there are not seven or whatever dispensations there are old testament believers and new testament believers who are all one people of God.
-
My biggest issue with Dispensationalism is that it seems to be largely based on the thoughts of JN Darby, rather than being directly based in Scripture.

Hi, RT. The English word ‘dispensation’ comes from the Greek οἰκονομία and means ‘administration, stewardship.’ The word was used for someone who managed the affairs of a household. It comes from οἶκος, which means ‘household.’ The key is to use it correctly in the text and context. Some examples are Luke 16:2-4; 1 Corinthians 9:17; Ephesians 1:10; Ephesians 3:2,9; and Colossians 1:25.

I believe in the whole council of God.

I used to be a dispensationalist. Then I just decided to read the Bible without any preconceived ideologies or theology in mind. I came to the conclusion that dispensational theology has some good points. But so does Calvinism and Arminianism. To only believe in one mode and read only those whom write on one theological ideology leads to extremes in theological thought. I personally believe it is better to be well read in all schools of theology. To then form our theology based on the Bible and from reading different theologians on theology. There is something we can take from Darby, Calvin, Wesley, Luther, Hus, Zwingli and modern theologians like Bruce, Campbell, Sproul, Wiersbe and others. To be extreme in any one theology can be dangerous. I have Calvin’s Institutes, Berkhoff, Theissen, Works of John Wesley, Lewis Sperry Chafer, Pink and others. I lean heavily toward Calvinism. Yet I disagree with double predestination. I also lean toward sublapsarian.

Why?

Would the opposite of DISPENSATIONALISM be considered Covenant Theology?
-
I don’t agree with the traditional understanding of dispensationalism at all. I believe when God says that something is for all generations forever, that it is. I believe all Scripture that we are able to follow is beneficial and applicable for today and that God does not change. I don’t believe Israel has been replaced or other doctrines I often hear from people who hold to the dispensationalistic view. I feel that Dispensationalism is the opposite of what the Prophets teach and throws out many of the prophecies Israel is still waiting for fulfillment. I would be glad to discuss this topic in a friendly manner with anyone.

No… Moses and Paul are the head stewards over each: Moses head administrator over Israel. And Paul head administrator over the body of Christ… Each administrators of the dispensation of law(Moses) and of Grace (Paul)…
-
The dispensations are easy to deliniate in the Scriptures, as are the Covenants. I really don’t believe, from over 29 years of studying Scripture, that Dispensationalism is even controversial.
-
Yes, but it isn’t so bad that I would throw a dispensationalist out of the kingdom.
-
I’m not dispansationalist, but I don’t think dispensasionalism is strictly heresy (unbiblical), but a biblical interpretation that I’m not agreed.
-
No warrant in scripture for dispensatinalism
-
I believe that dispensationalism is certainly biblical.
-
Dispensationalism is only a method to understand more of God revelation unto man but we should not limit God because of dispensation.
-
Yes. I always end in heresy.
-
No I don’t. But I also think that the Bible supports Pre- Mid- and Post Tribulation Rapture. It also teaches Preterism – Calvinism and Arminianism – this is why these debates have no end –
They’ve been around for 2000 years and will continue
He for 2000 more unless Christ comes back first -
I think u suffer from to much pride
-
read knowing scripture by Sproul
-
Jesus’ Disciples never said that. Why do you limit/bound yourself with those words, want to play with words? Use simple terms.
-
what makes it unbiblical is when it claims that you cannot properly interpret Scripture without being a dispensationalist
-
Depends on the times
-
Yes
-
I say this. Does the Bible need adding to? If you think yes, you may not be following the Bible.
-
No but stop defining your position by words instead of the Word
-
how many times the word is used; “dispensation” VS “covenant”…plus other controversial word in the Bible…
-
Why?
-
I think premillenial- dispensationalism is wrong.
I do think God dealt with creation differently during different time periods (dispensations). -
Yes
-
What would be an unfundamental dispensationalist?
-
Why would you be something if you think you need to ask someone else if it’s okay? That’s bassackwards.
-
That’s nonesense
-
Agree – unbiblical!
-
What is dispensationalism?
-
I guess in short, after looking up the definition, I’d say it is biblical, but that is an uninformed very short answer after just looking at the definition.
-
No. But a very interesting discourse/approach. Going to read more on this.
-
Dispensationalism is not fundamental, so that’s a contradiction.
-
BIBLICAL. 2 TIMOTHY 2:15 IN GREEK GRAMMAR.

BIBLICAL. 2 TIMOTHY 2:15 IN GREEK GRAMMAR.
Without This, many people COULD NOT understand fully THE PROGRAME OF GOD IN THE BIBLE -
I do believe so. I used to be dispensationalist till I couldn’t back it up with scripture.

Don’t complicate the Gospel

Dispen-satan-alists:
-
Why do we like to put labels on ourselves?, mine says handsome.
-
What constitutes “fundamental”?
-
no dispensationalism is not unbiblical the OT is definitely a different way of God dealing only with the state of Israel. The gospels and acts are a time of transition of the kingdom of God from Israel to the gentiles and the church.

Jesus’ earthly ministry was Jewish. John the Baptist, being the last prophet of the Old Testament (as Jesus called him), gives a clue to the fact that not all of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John are New Testament. Everything after His death, burial and Resurrection is New Testament. Hebrews 6-10 and Romans 6-8 help tremendously about the change of law due to a change of priesthood (Jesus is High Priest after the order of Melchizedek instead of the order of Aaron that governed the Old Testament).
