  1. C.J. Bouril says:

Whatever is happening in your life – being able to have a lesson learned is a blessing itself!

  2. Monique Botha says:

Blessings are what happens in one’s life, either through people or experiences that can bring one joy and happiness or unexpectedly contribute to a need or cause something to happen that elevates one or ones circumstances or adds value to ones life. Blessings can also be those things that don’t happen, many times we realise afterwards that it was just as well that something didn’t happen or go as planned as it would have not turned out well. We then use the term “a blessing in disguise” when we don’t see it at first as being a blessing but then after a time see that it was. To conclude, a blessing is how God shows His grace, mercy and favour in our lives.

A blessing from God is the mysterious movement of his devine power to bestow favour on an individual to build faith and bring glory to God

It’s the opposite of a curse. To have God’s face to shine on you. (cf. Numbers 6:24-26)

Anything that is not a curse.

  10. Madison Willoughby says:

Blessings aren’t limited to, but certainly include, the miracle of God’s Spirit living within us!

  11. John Carson says:

People tend to look at blessings as pleasurable experiences; and think of sufferings and tormenting experiences as curses. That, is not so.

Blessings are God’s hand upon His children for their good and His glory in the midst of the joys and trials they face.

So the next time you are in a dire situation, ask God, “Open my eyes, O Lord, so I can see Your blessings, and give glory to Your name.”
