Why do the advocates for eternal security always describe what is the forfeiture of salvation as “losing(misplacing) your salvation”?
Does anyone really claim you can “lose(misplace) your salvation?” Or is this a strawman?

Salvation is not something you have.
It’s like a marathon: You can freely appear at the start but you need to go to the finish.
You can’t have a marathon. You must endure till the end
