Faith is not irrational though there are depths in God we can’t fully understand. Sound faith is true b’cos the foundation upon which it rests is the word of God. Paul tells us to uphold “sound doctrine”;hence, when we reason scripturally by comparing one scripture to another, we shall have arrived at sound doctrine which when permeate our hearts, builds faith and informs our decisions. Faith is not reckless. When God ask me to take a step that does not make sense to me, it is not because “faith is reckless”, it makes perfect sense to God, hence it is because I see dimly and in part. So faith compensates for my “limitedness”. “Reckless faith” has produced some ills among us
