The Tri-Unity of God is incredibly easy to understand — really. Jesus described Himself as “The Living Water”. Take Him at His Word — which is a REALLY good practice! Take one gallon of water. Freeze one third of that gallon. Boil one third of that gallon. Leave one third of that gallon liquid. Combine them — liquid, steam, solid ice — three states of water from the one source — and the same thing. There you have three states of the same substance — co-existing at the same time, co-equal — with different, divergent properties. We have the triunity God and the triunity of water — illustrated. All matter, in fact, can be a tri-unity. Buckminster Fuller pointed that out — that ALL nature is based on threes. You yourself are a tri-unity — physical, spiritual, emotional. It’s not really hard to get — truly. (Just so you know, I myself have walked on water. It happened to be frozen 4 feet thick at 10 degrees at the moment. But it was water nonetheless.)

Still the same water. Not three different waters. The liquid is the water, the steam is the water, the ice is the water. There is one water.

I think that would be modalism.

The best way to describe it. Is body mind soul but one human. That is WHAT you are. John Lott is who you are but who you are doesn’t make you a human, you personality makes you human. Jesus is who he is, God is what He is, same with the father and the Spirit.

He has a whole playlist describing the trinity in great biblical detail even the OT -
why does one then pray to the other if they are equal?

Beautiful illustration

Really bad example. All the different states have different attributes and properties such as specific weight of gravity, mass, pressure ,density…etc. not the same, just as God and Jesus aren’t same

I like the egg one too.
The shell, the yolk, and the white part = one egg -
De Lane Craig has good explanations on this subject on YouTube. Recommend.
