People are Not getting saved because they walked into a building full of people listening to a Pastor speak.

People get saved by hearing the GOSPEL being preached ! It is the power of Gospel through Faith in it That saves ! Not a building or a people BUT CHRIST ALONE.

Anti religion I see. Some of these buildingw and lreachers do preach the gospel and center their congregation life arrond it.

  2. Jared Hamilton says:

Religion itself is powerless. Religion based on the power in Christ and the honor of God has the ability to herd the people together for his glory.
However there arise other problems. Even evidenced in Paul’s letters to the church.

Many ways religion fails, yet succeeds. One example among many? In religion, people hide sin. When is the last time we openly admitted our sin? My eyes which offend which are spoken about by Jesus himself I tell people about. So is past sin. To keep it real. For none is without sin. Most religions stir a great ruckus about this. People form against sin as if they are the sword of truth. Yet they are the hypocrite.

Non believers capitalize on this to sever the churches reach. Etc.

There is no religion which holds the power of Jesus. But only religion which is fueled by it. Every action as his church is just as important as the prayer that delivers you from your temptation.

However-religion is quite successful although it seems to heighten and promote Luke-warm Christians.

I consider myself a Luke-warmed Christian because Luke 1:37 say For with GOD ALL THINGS are possible. We must not turn from our time with Our master to “blah blah” Luke-warm a congregation. We must daily, hourly, constantly STRIVE to interact with the weakened, broken, hurt and through that we see Jesus because he is right there with them, waiting on their plea, waiting on their call, waiting for them to submit. Those 3 nails in AD 33 were the “finish him” call of mortal Kombat, and our perserverence in continual love for people is the finishing move that drives those nails into them! If our true submission and faithfulness is through him!

**two disclaimers…I’m aware 33 is not the exact year! And I am not perfect in executing what I speak of. But try and pray and try again.

What is the difference of “listening to a pastor speak” and “hearing the gospel (don’t you have to listen to a pastor speak to hear the gospel?)” they both mean the same thing. And both are works of humans and works do not save, period.

I think it is the conviction of the Holy Spirit that brings people to Jesus for atonement, and Jesus who forgives which gives salvation. Soli Deo gloria.

It was the Holy Spirit that gave the pastor the words to say. It was the Holy Spirit who brought that person to the church. It was the Holy Spirit that allowed them to understand the words they heard. It was the Holy Spirit that gave them the word to pray for forgiveness.

In other words to God alone is the glory.

Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God

    Semantics. Nothing more

  6. Eric Bennett says:

A sinner stands a greater chance of hearing the gospel at a Gospel preaching church than sitting in their house. When people seek God, He knows who they need to go to to hear the Gospel.

  7. Gus Rodriguez says:

So what happens when that pastor is preaching the Gospel?

  8. Michael John says:

    Spiritually sound. I love it?
