Does belief in science or belief in God heal us? With the advances in science and medicine we can combat most illnesses and diseases and enable us to live long, productive lives. Is this confidence and reliance on modern medicine to cure us in conflict with our faith in God, or, do they work together?

That is a false dichotomy. In practice if not theory. In case of you not having noticed.
They do not need to work together for you to embrace both. -
Belief in either won’t heal you. Although, if God wills it, your belief can make you whole. But it is God, not your belief that heals.

I hear stories of both, especially today. Back then they didn’t really practice medicine. They had some ideas of healing but much of the world outside Greek thought especially didn’t know. If apostles used Roman roads to evangelize why can’t God use hospitals with Christian and non Christian doctors to heal?

Everything is under Gods control.. if he wil heal us divinely its a blessing if will be heal by science its still his will .. no amount of science can save our life ..when it is our time our time .. but there is onething sure He will heal us as he promise we may not have it on earth when we have the glorified body we are healed ..
