Ok. I know this is a very loaded question. Creation vs. Darwinism. I was schooled in the assumption that we all evolved from primordial soup. I used to believe that as well. However, I now believe in the metaphorical language of the Old Testament, and trying to come to terms with the fact that yes, humans were created in God’s image, in a much shorter time (Adam and Eve). How do Christian apologists reconcile this? Happy Resurrection Day, everyone! ?❤️

Here’s a short video with Dr. William Lane Craig on this topic. It’s quick and touches on a lot before the end, but it’s a good introduction to what I think is a good approach to this subject.

Evolution or the gospel, you can’t have both.

I think it’s a difficult thing to grasp even for some believing Christian’s. What I have seen over the years is that God places specific time frames on things that will be contested in time frames. For example the creation and the resurrection.
But to create man in just a word being spoken can actually be proven, if you open your spiritual eyes to the bible.

May I explain to you?

Who told you the language of the OT was Metaphorical? There is metaphorical language in the Bible Ps 23:1 ‘The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want.’ is one. The Creation Account in Genesis and subsequent Events leading up to and including the Global Flood and the Tower of Babel are real events. Science cannot prove any events in the past, History, Archaeology, and physical Evidences are our Guides. The Bible is a book of History and in Genesis 1 all Creatures are Created in their Kind. Evolution has been unable to show a line of ascent of a Created Kind from the Fossils or a mechanism that adds information to the Genome. Pakicetus a supposed intermediary fossil of a Whale was found to be a land dwelling animal as with many other ‘finds’. The site below has around 13,000 articles written by Ph.D Scientists which are all fully referenced on all sorts of Topics, there are around 3,000 on the Global Flood with one about Marine Fossils on the top of Mount Everest. https://creation.com/should-genesis-be-taken-literally

Jesus quoted Genesis and referred to Adam and Eve as real people. He also referred to Noah’s ark. If these events didn’t happen, then you’d have to throw the whole Bible out and faith in Jesus as a great moral teacher (He wouldn’t be a moral teacher if He lied; and He wouldn’t be God if He taught something He didn’t know was false). You have one of two choices: Trust all that Jesus taught, or none at all. Science doesn’t disagree with the literal reading of Genesis and the flood account.

Remember, things are created with the appearance of age. Trees without growth rings fall….worlds without stability would crumble…and stars without fuel and nuclear spark would dissolve.
He has performed as master to a perfect degree. So much that we have sought other explanations because our minds do not engulf his perfection. Unless we ask of him!

Evolution has no truth or provable theories in it. It’s all conjecture. One need not try to reconcile a lie with Truth.

Hi, listen to these and please tell me If your questions have been answered. ?

Why are here is a questionj`22 o mmnl;ll;’ll;’

There’s nothing to reconcile. The bible says God created everything in 6 literal days…… end of subject.
-
Agreed, I don’t even try to reconcile… I trust the Word of God.

Susie: Check out Young Earth Christian Creationist Facebook page, answersingenesis.org and their many resources, Institute of Creation Research, and other great organtizations and sites. Listen to Dr. Georgia Purdell on youtube, especially on genetics. I love this fascinating topic!

There’s nothing to reconcile.
-
there are 2 creation accounts one happened much earlyer than the other the second creation account is the first adam or prophet
-
God says He created all things in 6 days, that’s all you need, God said it and that settles it period it’s called faith
-
Westcott-Hort the fathers of the modern translations believed in evolution over creationism.

I always thought sciences attempt to explain life’s origins as hilarious. Never made any sense to me, now if scientists ever create life from inorganic materialism I’d be all ears.

Creation vs darwanism is not the same frame of argument.
Creation vs abiogenisis is.

The debate has shifted from Creation vs Darwinism to more nuanced views. Among believers there are 3 schools of thought each of which are supported by scholars. Firstly, New Earth creationists who believe in a very literal interpretation and believe the earth is 6,000 to 10,000 years old. The second is the Old Earth creationist view which says that the earth may well be 13 million years old but still created in a Big Bang. The 3rd school is known as Theistic Evolution, which also believes God created the Universe, but may have chosen to use evolution as a tool of His creation. Personally, I don’t believe we will know in this lifetime exactly HOW God chose to create our Universe and the answer to me is less important than Genesis 1:1. God bless you on your journey of exploration.

The Creation v Evolution debate has been going on since the Egyptians, the Roman Cicero summed it up in a very similar model to the ID arguments today ‘Is it not a wonder that anyone can bring himself to believe that a number of solid and separate particles by their chance collisions and moved only by the force of their own weight could bring into being so marvelous and beautiful a world? If anybody thinks that this is possible, I do not see why he should not think that if an infinite number of examples of the twentyone letters of the alphabet, made of gold or what you will, were shaken together and poured out on the ground it would be possible for them to fall so as to spell out, say, the whole text of the Annals of Ennius. In fact I doubt whether chance would permit them to spell out a single verse!’. One day we will Know all as we are Known.
