2 different things are judged by God. Salvation which is only done through blood (Leviticus 17:11). And also following the commandments of God (Deuteronomy 28). So your works are worthless for salvation, but they are judged in terms of where your reward is in heaven.

Good works are the fruit of salvation
-
Yes for a Christian. Because it is an evidence of a transformed/transforming life
Ephesians 2:10 — For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
-
Good work are inspired by the spirit after you have been saved!
-
Good works is the result of salvation.
It means as we experience the joy of salvation. There is something that God has put in our hearts that this joy of salvation that we receive, we need to share this also to those people who do not receive Jesus in there lives.
-
James tell that good works are evidence of faith. Paul Gal 6.10 do good unto all and especially the family of God read Ephesians 2 and note why we have been saved by grace. Yes you don’t have to do good works however if you are saved you will do good works.
-
We are saved by faith alone but not by faith that is alone
-
We are not saved by good works but for good works, after being saved by Grace through faith, now we are able to do good works…Bearing the fruits
-
Good works are the product of salvation. If there are no works, there was no faith, if there was no faith there was no grace given. See James… and the next verse after the one you quoted.
-
We do good works because we are saved we do not do good works to be saved
Good works are the results of salvation -
Yes, read book of James
-
yes, we r saved unto good works which christ has prepared before hand that we should walk in them, grace saves us & empowers us
-
sorry but the whole teaching of yahawashi in view is racist !! God Sent His Son for the Whole World
-
“Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven.”
(Matt 5:16, NASB)Yes, good works are necessary, not for salvation, but because we’re saved.
-
Good works are not necessary but if you have no good works, you have no faith. Faith that saves is manifested by good works. You have no good works, you can’t claim to have faith.
-
Yes, not for salvation but evidence that the Holy Spirit is truly working in our heart.
-
Lol, you people still ignoring the truth, Listen Salvation is Only for my people us children of Israel the Hebrew Israelites Gods Chosen people…..I’m trying to help y’all, because you outside nations are getting yall hopes up for nothing….. Salvation is only for One People us children of Israel.
-
Necessary for salvation no. Proof of salvation, yes
-
Good works are just manifestation of being a Christian who is saved by grace thru faith in Jesus Christ.
-
Show me thy faith without thy works and I will show you my faith by my works. No works can save us, but all our works should justify our faith. We do good not to get into heaven, but Because we are going to heaven.
-
It is absolutely not necessary for Salvation. Bit it is evidence of Salvation. In other words, because I am grateful for Salvation my testimony shows good works. Ephesians 2:10 (NIV)
For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. -
Good Works Are the Fruits of salvation NOT salvation
-
As long as you understand it is not your works that are good
-
Not to get to heaven ,they will certainly follow if one truly believes the simple Gospel of Jesus Christ crucified…
-
Good works are the fruits that come from a heart that has been blessed by grace.
-
Necessary for what? Salvation? No. Rewards in Heaven? Yes.
-
good works is not necessary but they can be an outcome on who we are in Christ because of Christ Eph 2v8-10
-
We are not saved by our works, but by God for good works. ?
-
Good works are not necessary for salvation, but if you are saved, the love for Christ and gratitude for His work on the cross, should cause a bunch of activity to well up in you and the outward manifestation should be good works…
-
Good works are a natural consequences to loving God and obeying his will… he says love one another and we do it not to get to heaven but because it bears fruit and the fruit is that we show who God is instead of tell about it
-
For salvation not necessary. But your faith is dead without works.
Understand this brother?
If you have faith, you will do good works.
Peace, God bless.
-
BOOOOOOM.!!!!!!!
James 2:17-26
[17]Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.
[18]Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works.
[19]Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.
[20]But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?
[21]Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar?
[22]Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was FAITH MADE PERFECT?
[23]And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God.
[24]Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only.
[25]Likewise also was not Rahab the harlot justified by works, when she had received the messengers, and had sent them out another way?
[26]For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also. -
Good works are necessary because it is who we are. We often hear people say, “God is good.” Goodness is God’s nature, it’s who He is. A tree is known by it’s fruit. A good tree must bear good fruit. Faith without works is dead. Our works do not justify us but we do good works because of who we are.
-
“Necessary”? Not for salvation, but definitely as a servant of the Most High God. What good is a soldier who won’t fight?
-
if you are saved you will do that which is right
-
This basic question is a Logical Fallacy. It presents a False Dilemma. It attempts to force the respondent to make a value choice between Faith and Works. This is kind of like asking if Flour or Eggs are more important to a cake; the cake isn’t possible without both being jointly present.
Or it would be like saying, do you think your spouse loves your even though they’ve never done anything nice to you or never showed you any affection. The actions don’t cause the love but the actions express the love.
-
We are actually saved by grace to do good works so that men may glorify our father in heaven.
-
Thanks for all contributions. I now understand that good works is evidence of salvation.
-
Faith without works is dead
-
Good fruit is the EVIDENCE of salvation. If there is no evidence, there is no salvation and that person is still spiritually dead.
-
It’s the evidence of
-
Not necessary for your personal salvation, but necessary as evidence of your salvation, and the expansion of the Kingdom of God in the world.
Saved BY grace, FOR good works (Eph. 2.8-10).
-
Good works is an outward expression of an inward condition just as baptism is an outward expression of an inward condition and so will the mark of the beast be an outward expression of an inward condition.
-
Good works are the fruit of our salvation, not the root thereof.the point of the Book of James.
-
Good works with the godly intentions is proof of faith in Christ.
-
When you are filled with Holy Spirit you cannot go wrong.
-
Works are not the means to salvation but, necessary EVIDENCE OF salvation.
-
Good works are the fruit of salvation not the root of salvation.
-
Jesus..good works are the products and evidence of genuine salvific faith..For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them.
Ephesians 2:10 NASB

Good works come as the result, when we are saved…but we are not saved by good works!!
