I want to ask a question; Because some Christians, Christian leaders and heads behave as if they are as pure as crystal.

1). Do we sin because we were Sinners? (Psalm 51:5, Romans 5:12-21)

2). Are we sinners because we sin? ( 1 Cor 6:9-10)

  1. Matt Kramm says:

We were sinners because we were either born into sin or we sinned… after salvation we become children of God and saints who may still have some of the old man on us that we need to put off. But Biblically we are no longer sinners because we are what God says we are not anything more or less.

  2. Kate Marie Wendi says:

    Both.

  3. Charlemagne Alcala says:

If they behave that way that’s maybe because of God’s sanctifying work in them. It can easily be misunderstood as being self righteous but we can’t really see their hearts.

  4. Joe A Smith says:

We sin because we suppress the truth in unrighteousness, however as Paul states in Rom8:10
The body is dead because of sin this never changes in Regeneration the only thing that changes is the Spirit is made alive by the imputed righteousness of Jesus Christ. Hence why we spend our lives warring against our flesh .

  5. Rene Chantraine says:

Both those verses are not contradicting themselves but they are supporting each other! We are sinners because we inherent it from Adam, we are naturally sinner, but also confirm it that we are sinners by sinning. We don’t become sinners but we are born sinner and we confirm who we are by doing it!

  6. James Steve Mazuran says:

If ye love me, keep.my commandments.

  7. James Steve Mazuran says:

We sin because our flesh is fallen. Birthline of Adam after the fall. Sin has no power over us. We should sin no more. Pray always. Put on the armour of God daily. Check the armour of God.

  8. Rene Chantraine says:

Paul talks about the “power of the Law” in Roman 7. This power after being born again this power remain even if its root has been removed from us and that’s why why hate sinning which was not there before. We are grieved when we sin against because now we love God. But true Christian will progress in his or her sanctification and she will persevere up to the end. We don’t sin because we are sinners because we are now new creation but we sometimes find ourselves sinning because of the remaining sins in us

  9. James Steve Mazuran says:

Brother, we still may fall at times and sin if this is where your really getting at. Your flesh is corrupt without your help. It’s about following God’s spirit thru faith. It has to be a powerful faith or it’s not deep and real enough to stand up to evil. We all still may slip st times. But be renewed more and pray always with absolute sincerity. Breakdown and come clean with God whenever you need. Just talk with Him. Without a priest please.

  10. Dan Waenet says:

We sin because we are sinners sounds more accurate.

  11. Rene Chantraine says:

I don’t think people have different types of faith but one which is a gift Eph 2:8-9 given God. It’s all about the Grace of before salvation and in salvation. There is no anything you can do except by his grace you cannot make your faith bigger or smaller because anyone would make his bigger but the one who started this work of salvation in us is still the same who will fulfill it up to the end. Believe it’s all about his grace in Christ alone

  12. Harold Goldman says:

We sin because we are sinners not the other way around. We inherited a sin nature thanks to adam

  13. Patrick Boren says:

My personal opinion is that we sin because it comes to us by nature (Romans 5:12-18; Ephesians 2:3). Thus the need to be born again of the second Adam that we may receive His nature (1 John 3:9)

  14. Angelino Acosta says:

New International Version 1984 Romans 7:15,20 I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do. Now if I do what I do not want to do, it is no longer I who do it, but it is SIN living in me that does it.
TO OVERCOME, one must have spirit controlled life

New International Version 1984 Romans 8:5 Those who live according to the sinful nature have their minds set on what that nature desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires.

WE MUST BE BORN AGAIN IN SPIRIT AND WATER by 1Pet1:23/ Ja1:18

    Answer is 1.
Don’t think much about what other believers are doing, it will discourage you.

  16. Steven Moncus says:

Why does a dog have fleas?

  17. Jeremy Rush says:

Light and Darkness, Sin and Forgiveness

This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you: God is light; in him there is no darkness at all. If we claim to have fellowship with him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live out the truth. But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.

If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. If we claim we have not sinned, we make him out to be a liar and his word is not in us.

    1 John 1:5-10

  18. Jeffrey Sanate Hmar says:

    To summarize your points:
We are born a sinner and sin. Even those who never sin they are still sinner because they inherited a fallen/ sinner nature of Adam.

  19. Nedson K. Banda says:

Saved are not perfect. They are in a state of grace. We must pray for each other.
