I’d say yes. As we’re called to be Christ like and Christ did not hate Sinners he actively saved them.

2 Peter 3v9. The lord is slow to anger as he loves us and waits patenlty for us to repent. 1 John 4v8 any one who does not love does not know God revelations 2v6 this you have , you hate the works of nicolitus which j also hate.

A lot of non-answers in this thread.
1. If you don’t love people (sinful or not – but we all ARE sinful to varying degrees: Isaiah 26:3), you are not following the explicit commands and clear example of Christ.
2. If you don’t hate sin, you are not following the explicit commands and clear example of Christ – and the rest of scripture. (Romans 12:9, Jude 1:23, 1 John 1:8)

Yes; it lines up with biblical teaching.
God loved us while we were yet sinners. Meaning that He loved the sinner, but never loved the sin.

My opinion is yes. We all sin & God still loves us. I think he grieves when someone goes to hell.

How about this.
Love people as Jesus did. Warn them. Preach the Word both in and out of season and let the Holy Spirit do His job.
He doesn’t need out help.

Psalm 5:5-6 says He HATES evildoers. Fourteen times in the first fifty Psalms we see God hates evildoers.

God loves us so much that He gave His only begotten Son. But that doesn’t mean He concedes anything to us, and we need to Love Him too.
He has set the guidelines whereby we may ALLL be saved from His wrath to come. But we cannot get over pride.
God is the father, the authority, the end all be all. He is not a man. It’s HIS way or the highway and you have no recourses.

God hates the sin and the sinner as well. It is fearsome, but it’s true. Such a understanding only going to appreciate the righteousness of Christ granted to us by grace even more. Outside of Christ there is nothing left for sinners except the Holy wrath and hatred of God

We use that a lot when talking about addictions. It is a good saying but I don’t believe it is biblical

Sin doesn’t exist apart from the sinner!! The question is who should hate who? Perhaps the issue is about the use of the word ‘hate’. Are we what we do? Do we become what we do? We do what we do because of who we are? What is love? Does love mean condoning sin? Does love punish sin? If sin is not punished, what will become of us? How does one punish sin without punishing the sinner?

The key here is to “love” the people, but “hate” the behavior. Bottom line a mother can “hate” it when a child leaves their socks on the floor — but she doesn’t “hate” junior.

It is biblical. God died on the cross for SINNERS. And that is LOVE.

If God hates sin and loves the sinner, then why God sends the sinner to hell together with sin? Why not the sin only is bound to hell and the sinner to heaven?

If you’re asking whether those words come from the Bible or not, no, they do not.
There are a lot of people pointing to the Psalms and saying that God hates sinners. Awesome, judgement and vengeance is His. Not ours.
We are commanded to love others. 1 Peter 3:9, Leviticus 19:18, Romans 12:18-19, etc. Incidentally, those also reference leaving vengeance to God, not taking it ourselves.
Psalm 97:10, Romans 12:9, Psalm 45:7, etc. Commands to hate sin.
Love the sinner, hate the sin. Not expressly stated in the Bible but a theologically sound concept nonetheless.

God hates and abhors the sin and the sinner. That’s why he punishes sinner even ultimately in hell.
