I remember when I was a boy and these services embarrassed me if my friends came to my church. Things have changed today and I am embarrassed if they come to church today. It is more like a night club rather than a Christian worship service.

What are your thoughts?

It’s your opinion… But if ONE person gets saved we should rejoice even if it isn’t your cup of tea…

  2. I agree with you Charles. I am beginning to be ashamed to tell people that I was raised in a Pentecostal Church (like that in this video) when today’s Church is now become like a night club. I am ashamed of them today. I refuse to support any Church today that fails to have the Spirit of God in their services.

  3. Oh, by the way, Bro Akers at one time belonged to the CoG.

  4. I don’t want a service that’s of the flesh. I want the Holy Spirit to come down on the service. I had a older person say the other day, our church needs revival. We need revival in all our church’s.

We still have services like this!
    I am so thankful!
The Church of God had the full Gospel message!
Getting people Saved, Sanctified, Baptized in the Holy Ghost and fire, and living a life of Holiness!

Many of those in Churches today ( CHURCH OF GOD INCLUDED) are immature because of the lack of balance in their instruction …many are more interested in serving God out of their need ( which is important for he will provide) instead of ………serving HIM OUT OF THEIR LOVE FOR GOD…..THEY ARE MORE INTERESTED IN SELFIES ….THAN ……BEARING THE IMAGE OF THE HEAVENLY……………..1Co_15:49 And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.
2Co_3:18 But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.

  7. Not at our church! The Head Spirit is alive & well…usually noises in a good way. We. Sing & praise the LORD from our heart….

Btw, we don’t sanctify or fill with the Holy Ghost. We lead them to Jesus. The combining work of the washing of the Word with the baptism of the Holy Ghost, God sacrifices and fills!

  9. I presently attend a non-denominational church and am really struggling with Contemporary Christian Music. Every Worship experience feels like performers at a concert instead of a Worship leader leading in worship. I also think that alot of music nowadays is theologically incorrect.

  10. I had a good friend at Lee that went to a local COG to make fun of the noisy holy rollers but the Spirit of God got hold of him and he got saved and later became a COG pastor. I had another friend that got saved at a Hindu retreat. She was seeking spiritual truth and sat under a tree by a lake reading her Bible. Guess who walked on the water to her? Jesus!!! Of course she got saved and later attended Lee College.

  11. I know a few churches that still worship like this. Some are CoG and others non denomination.
