The Church of God as a whole , has become lukewarm. They have compromised with the world to gain a few noblemen. This is an abomination to the Church of God denomination! Where did Holiness go?

I was in the ministry, so I will challenge any Church of God Bishop who wants to challenge my above statement!!

I still attend a Church of God. Hopefully this new General Bishop will bring true Pentecost back to the Church!!

True description of the past, Paul Alan Lett, I’m thankful we learned that holiness is NOT outwardly only, but in the heart. I was raised very strict, however, that was based on how my parents were taught and they didn’t waiver much…lol Praise the Lord for freedom from bondage & liberty in the Lord. He will guide us if we seek Him.

When I was nine years old my hair was so long if I sat down and pulled it to the front it would cover me. I started having severe headaches. The church prayed. My family prayed but I wasn’t getting better. They took me to an ophthalmologist. Test were made and the weight of my hair and length was damaging my optic nerve. At church the following Sunday a dear sainted lady stood up at the end of service and said the church needed to turn out my parents and me for cutting my hair. The pastor concluded the service and call for members of the church to remain. I was scared, ashamed and felt I was going to hell because of the doctor cutting my hair. The pastor stood up, listened to the lady. Then he again told the situation. He asked her if she had been talking on the party line phone sowing discord in the church. Her face got red. The pastor said there was more in the Bible about hurting our neighbors with words than cutting hair. That charges could be brought about sowing discord. He called us up front. Not one church member voted to turn us out not even her. At the same time I went to church with Bobby socks on. One of the men of the church called me over to the side to tell me I forgot to put my hose on. Where was his heart and mind. It could have been devastating to me as a young Christian but my parents with their wisdom say I would meet others in life that were fruit inspectors. I still have short hair. I have served God with all my might and have walked with Him the best I could. Hair doesn’t send you to hell. God knows your heart. Please be careful about your fruit inspection of others. It is not your job to point out faults. We have lost a lot of our ministers families and members because we did not use wisdom and love in correcting things we thought were unholy. This site has to much of that. I will soon disconnect because of the pettiness. My family attended the third Church of God started. My family supplied lodging to our church founders many times as they traveled through the hills of Tn. They won by love.

I stand by what I have said about this posted picture and still hold to my beliefs. What I can’t understand is the major opposition directed to me. There are so few who think this dress is immodest.
There is no comparison to the view of the old line COG strictness. I do not consider myself a strict old fashion COG.
