The membership of this forum is growing each day. Currently, there are 598 members and there are three other people who have made a request to join. Remember, this is a fairly new forum. I believe it is growing because of its goals and objectives that were formulated by its Administrator Charles Page.

Charles PageI have heard people say about the United States “love it or leave it”. I say the same thing about the “Church of God”. Love it or leave it. Find a perfect church if you can but don’t join it because it will no longer be perfect if you do.

have no doubt very little understanding of men such as some of us in this forum. You need to understand that for 100 years, the teachings of the CoG were against the wearing of jewelry, as well as other particular things. Some of us in this forum are from that era in the CoG. In 1986, the GA changed its Practical Teachings and remove all of its “DO NOTs.” However, not all CoG minister and membership accepted that change. That is the friction that is created between your thoughts (I would assume you both became a part of the CoG post-1986.) and ours. So you must try to understand our thoughts and deep beliefs as well. God bless you both. -
That’s what you get for assuming. I was born into COG and in 1974 and remember. I was actually at the 86 assembly. I have asked others and now I ask you. Why is it ok for David to dance naked before the Lord and not ok for our youth to dance fully clothed before the Lord. I will patiently wait your answer.

As I have said before COG was against eating at establishment that serves alcohol. You certainly didn’t mind that change. And if the wives should not adorn expensive things. What about our kids. Should they adorn themselves with expensive cars. And pastors with expensive suits?

As a pastor I fought with legalism crap and was constantly dealing with it just to see a soul saved. It’s ridiculous.

Brethren, the reason I have not answered you is that I have been in a business meeting all morning and then at a wedding where I am now at the reception and am only checking internet while I have about 10 minutes.
