Dear Pastors and Ministry Colleagues:

An anticipated event in the Church of God is the time of year when we honor our retired ministers and widows. We call it Reformation Sunday, and this year it is scheduled for Sunday, October 27, 2024.

The Church of God loves and appreciates those who have given their lives in service to the Kingdom. Aside from their eventual Heavenly reward, we can bless them as they are here with us through a generous offering to thank them for their decades of anointed service toward winning the lost for Jesus Christ.

Reformation Sunday has been a godsend for so many of our elderly retirees and widows who have sacrificed material blessings in favor of assisting a needy family, contributing to church building funds, or being bi-vocational. Their examples have demonstrated to generations what true dedication is toward winning the lost. Twenty-five percent of what is given by the Church for Reformation Sunday will go for emergency assistance, while seventy-five percent furnishes a financial Christmas gift.
