“Some things have got to be believed to be seen.”

―Ralph Hodgson

The wise man wrote that “Hope deferred makes the heart sick.” (Proverbs 13:12)

But what other options do we have? Reverse the words and “Defer hope?”

That’s no way to live.

Dare to hope.

Yes, it can make you “heart sick” but let that be a motivation to get you up and going each day. Dare to chase your hopes and dreams.

And maybe even the word for you today is: Hope again.

You’re not to young or old or disqualified. You’re still alive. You’re reading this. You haven’t gone to far astray. There’s still time. Dare to hope. Dare to pick those dreams back up.

Or maybe the word for you is dare to dream new and better dreams.

Whichever, just get back in the race. The writer didn’t say “hope lost” or “hope never dared”, he said “Hope deferred.”

In others words, its possible, its coming, and when it does it will be a like a tree of life.

Here’s hoping for better days – for you and me.

Blessings to you.

The ONE THING for today: Dare to hope…again and again and again. Hope through the pain, the uncertainty, and the heartsickness. It’s only deferred, not lost.

Note about the picture: The road in the distance stood out to me – a way out of a barren place! That’s a reason to hope.
