Good evening, and welcome to #ourCOG Daily Brief for November 12, 2025.
Stateside, House Democrats have released emails from Jeffrey Epstein reportedly referencing President Trump, which the White House dismisses as a “selectively leaked” attempt to create a false narrative. In legislative news, cracks have appeared in Democratic unity as the Senate, with bipartisan support, agreed to end the government shutdown that began October 1st; the House is set to vote next. The conservative movement is seeing divides over an uproar about antisemitism at the Heritage Foundation following Tucker Carlson’s interview with Nick Fuentes. Meanwhile, questions are being raised about the legality of the Trump administration’s strikes on suspected drug boats, which have killed dozens. This government shutdown is also causing significant FAA fallout, leading to over a thousand flight cancellations and delays at major U.S. airports as unpaid air traffic controllers call out. On the world stage, Russia is conspicuously rolling out new weapons, challenging the global nuclear balance, a move experts link to Donald Trump’s “Golden Dome.” In Ukraine, citizens and soldiers are finding it increasingly challenging to stay motivated against relentless Russian advances and strikes in their 3.5-year war. Finally, a grassroots initiative in India is opening digital pathways for nomadic Kashmiri children, connecting them to training in animation, coding, and web design.
Turning to our recent video uploads, we have “Experience CHANGE” from Jonathan Vorce, a powerful Christian motivation short. We also invite you to revisit our “Praise and Worship” service from November 9th, 2025, and a compelling message from Perry Stone titled, “DANGER – Alert To ALL Christian Women!”
From our FaithNews RSS feed, we’re tracking a few important stories: Robeck is set to present the Azusa Lecture on Evangelism at Azusa Street Mission. “Decision Point” is confronting America’s cultural lies, and the “Our Faith, Our Family, Our Freedom” Conference recently took place in Atlanta from November 6th to 8th, 2025. Also, the Ministry to Israel’s ‘Lone Soldier Program’ is looking to welcome one of the hostages.
In prophecy news, a significant development today on November 12th is the U.S.’s plan to construct a half-billion-dollar military base near Gaza. This base aims to supervise the ceasefire, with coordination already underway with the Israeli government and IDF, a move a security source says “shows just how determined they are to be involved in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.” Yesterday, November 11th, the Senate advanced a deal to reopen the government, finally bringing an end to the longest shutdown in American history, despite objections from House Democrats. On November 10th, marking the 87th anniversary of Kristallnacht, Holocaust survivors issued a stark warning that current levels of antisemitism are comparable to the pre-Holocaust hatred seen in 1938. Finally, from November 9th, we heard about a concerning trend of “Legalized Abduction” where children are at risk across America, highlighting how laws, like those in Oregon, allow minors to be removed from parents without their consent.
Finally, in Jewish history, we look back to November 13th, the birthdate of St. Augustine of Hippo in the year 354. While revered by the Roman Catholic Church, Augustine held a particularly low regard for Jews. In his work, ‘The City of God,’ he asserted that the Jews’ exile and dispersal served as divine punishment for rejecting Jesus, also acting as a reminder for Christians that their belief in Jesus as Messiah was correct. He argued that Jews, though enemies of the Church, should not be slain but rather kept alive to eventually see the error of their ways and repent. This perspective, tragically, contributed to centuries of suffering for Jewish people, as the “sword of Constantine and the cross of Augustine would soon draw together to make a bitter brew.” We also note that in 361, Emperor Constantius II continued anti-Semitic policies.
