Confront people directly so you will not be held guilty for their sin.

―Leviticus 19:17 (NIV)

Like Saul (Paul) silently tending to the coats of those stoning Stephen, to be silent in the presence of injustice and evil is to condone that injustice and evil.  There are sometimes that live and let live just will not do.

We are advised to give a gentle answer to turn away wrath (Proverbs 15:1) but we are not advised to not give an answer.

How you say things matters a lot, but that you say something matters even more.

One word of caution: Speak directly to people.  Social media spray guns that throw paint all over the place should have no place in your conversations.  Also, no passive/aggressive innuendos, gossip and rumor mongering, you’re better than that and it will only makes things worse.

The goal is to help, not destroy .

The ONE THING for today: Keeping the peace by keeping silent is like having termites eating away at the foundation of your home. One day you wake up and you have no home.

“It was clear that the mutiny’s destructive ferocity had turned on itself. Freedom had been won, at the cost of everything.”
