My dear friend, drill this in your head – news is show business, first and foremost.
Their agenda is not to give you the news – fully, truthfully, and unbiased (and this includes the good guys – you know, the source you watch), their agenda is to make money.
I’m not one for tattoos, but if you are, this might be a good one for you: Beware the News!
Bottom line, handle the news with great care. While they’re shaping your world view and messing with your emotions, they’re also monkeying with your money, and, far worse, they’re usually wasting your time.
The ONE THING for today: The questions is not do I want to know this, but do I really need to know this. The truth is, the news of today is just a variation of an old, old theme. There’s better things to do than waste your time on reruns.
