It's time to pack for Italy! READ THIS ENTIRE LIST
Please pack light, as there is limited space on the tour bus. You can bring one suitcase weighing 50lbs or less that will be transported underneath the bus and one backpack/daypack that will fit under your seat. You cannot bring a carry-on that doesn't fit under your seat even though the airline permits it. The bus cannot hold more than one 50 pound bag per person. The carry one backpack will be the same on you have under your seat on the bus as well.
What to Bring
Passport - Don't forget it!
Pack light - There is limited space on the tour bus.
Power adapter - You will receive one in your package.
Power converter - You will need a converter if you bring small appliances or a CPAP machine.
Comfortable clothes - Keep it casual and simple.
Good walking shoes - You will walk a lot every day on this tour.
Hat, sunglasses & sunscreen - Protect yourself on the sunny days.
Rain Jacket - We will tour rain or shine, so be prepared.
Euros (€) - Dollars are not widely accepted in Italy.
Medications - Bring extra prescription meds in case of delays.
Travel Insurance - Bring a copy of the front page of your policy.
What to Know!
Have a good attitude! "Blessed are the flexible, for they shall not get bent out of shape."
Dress modestly on days when visiting religious sites. Your guide will tell you when this is needed.
Don't be late!The bus will leave without you.
Stay with the group! Never wander off by yourself.
Always wear your name badge. Your name badge is your ticket to get into the sites & restaurants.
Put the spotter tags on your luggage. These are color-coded with your name badge and your bus.
Make sure your name is on your suitcase.
Credit cards (Visa & MC) are widely accepted, so let your credit card company know you will be in Italy.
ATMs are available to withdraw Euros, as Dollars are not accepted in most locations.
Only do your shopping at approved locations, and don't be afraid to negotiate.
Drink lots of water! Bottled water is available on the bus for purchase or bring your own water bottle.
Dress in layers. There will be warm days and cool nights.
Hair dryers are provided in your hotel room.
Use the hotel laundry service and pack fewer clothes.
Pack some clothes and all medications in your carry-on in case of lost or delayed luggage.
Be smart with your smartphone!
Phone camera - make sure you have enough storage on your phone for all your photos.
Use Apple Pay & Google Pay to avoid carrying a wallet.
Bible App - Have your favorite bible app on your phone.
Use WhatsApp - It's the best free app to use for international texting and talking. If you want to call home, use What's App. It's totally free.
WiFi is available at the hotel. Bring a portable battery to keep your phone charged.
Airplane Mode - Turn it on unless you purchased an international plan through your carrier.
Keep photos of your passport, travel insurance, and other travel documents on your phone.
Remember the time difference when calling or texting home. Italy is several hours ahead of USA time.
