Affirmation & Prayer for Purity
AFFIRMATION: I shall not intentionally seek out salacious (tawdry, sensual, impure) material (written, verbal or visual) but will intentionally seek out and dwell on that which is: true, noble, just, pure, lovely, of good report, virtuous, and praiseworthy (Philippians 4:8).
2 Timothy 2:22

22 Flee also youthful lusts; but pursue righteousness, faith, love, peace with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart.
- Father God, please watch over me (mother me) on this! I want my independence. I want to be a “big boy”. But I know in reality that I can’t play in the big leagues when it comes to this. I must flee, flee, flee!
- Help me to guard where my eyes go. It is so easy to see some little “teaser” and then follow that teaser into dangerous areas. This is available virtually every where I turn my eyes – help me to be alert to this danger.
- Help me to guard what I listen to. Gossip is so “juicy” and seems so appealing, but help me to see it as you do – you hate it! (Proverbs 6:15-19).
- I ask these things in the strong name of my Lord and Savior – your only begotten Son – Jesus Christ. AMEN
