I was inboxed a message this morning:

Brother. I believe you have an unhealthy fascination with Paula Hill. I’ve met her in person and she is a godly woman. It is men like you that are stuck in the “old ways” that hinder the Great Commission from being finished.

As a Bishop in the Church of God, close friend of the church’s social media administrator, and an acquaintance of Tim Hill I have sent your group and screenshots of the sexist and bigot comments you have spouted to Cleveland. My suggestion is you join another denomination because you are tarnishing the great heritage and legacy of this God ordained institution.

    there are resolutions from years passed that oversee social media and the church can exercise corrective measures. However I am not a member of the Church of God and am not bound by their resolution.

    That is their’s.
    Can’t say they are wrong no more than you attest that your are right.

    So the question is,
    What do you do now brother?
    Do you leave ministers’ wives alone or just keep pushing your current path?
    By the way, they were biblical.
    They did it in private.
    You made it public.

    the charges of being bigoted and sexist are not substantiated but a judgement of a man against me. It is his opinions and he has a right to his opinions.

    The words “unhealthy fascination” with Paula Hill are not foundational the words are approaching being libel.

    Rose Goude has made the same words to me and the wording is defamatory and an intentional misrepresentation.

    join another denomination!!! I don’t know another denomination to join. As bad as the COG is it is not in the lead but is ahead of the challengers for second place. I want to be in the denomination that crosses the finish line first.

    I always go public with in boxed messages related to the forum post. Don’t have time to devote to disgruntled messages.

    So my question is why do you spend so much time and effort creating a forum that IS NOT open but is built only for trashing a denomination that you have no association with except that you attend one of its churches? You don’t even claim to be a member of said church. It makes no sense to me. The forum is clearly not open and you target people within in the denomination with hate speech regarding things that have progressively changed over the years. And some of the major complaints you and other ministers have are against some changes made back in the 80’s. So these changes have been in effect for roughly 20 years and yet you still complain about them. Your purpose of this group doesn’t match the title. And it is demeaning to an organization that you have no business saying these things about since you’re not a member of one of its churches.

    And the fact that you threatened to remove me like I’m some child that you need to parent shows just how childish you are.

    I’m not implying anything! I’m saying, as before, it’s not normal behaviour to post women’s pictures of anyone much less cog officials. And then the ugly things u say! Have u ask yourself, how would u like it if someone took your wife’s pic & plastered it all over the web? U seem driven and it is unhealthy! Maybe u should take it down and pray about it. Stay off the web for awhile.

    If this man wrote this to you in a private message, it cannot be libel legally. He’d have to say it to a third party for it to be libel, and you would probably have to show proof of your being held up to ridicule, etc. over it. You posted the message publicly, not him.
