I never met this man, but John C. Jernigan. He was a GO of the CoG back before my time. The CoG has a tremendous history, blessed by God to have given us such spiritual leaders. This is not Dr. Houston Moorehead, but rather Brother John C. Jernigan. Check it out.

Melvin: Thank you for posting this picture! John C. Jernigan was my Dad’s pastor at the Eldorado, Illinois Church of God. In fact, Dad was saved in 1930 under Brother Jernigan’s pastorate in Eldorado. Houston Morehead also had connection with this wonderful old Eldorado “Tabernacle” church. Although I never met Brother Jernigan, I was always blessed by the ministry of Houston Morehead when he would return to our state of Illinois, and more specifically, the newer Eldorado Church of God.
