Miss Kay coming to Chattanooga July 27 #DuckDynasty
“Duck Dynasty” doyenne Kay “Miss Kay” Robertson will be the guest celebrity for this year’s She: An Expo for Women, scheduled July 27-28 at the Chattanooga Convention Center. The expo is presented by the Chattanooga Times Free Press. Miss Kay will appear onstage July 27 and will give a presentation titled “Faith. Family. Ducks — In That Order.” “We are very excited to bring Miss Kay to Chattanooga,” said Chattanooga Times Free Press President Jason Taylor. “When polling our readers and Facebook fans on who they wished to see at She this year, she was overwhelmingly the No. 1 choice.”
The A&E megahit features the Robertson family, a close-knit Louisiana clan that has made a fortune producing and selling duck calls. Miss Kay watches over the family and does most of the cooking. She is best known for her banana pudding, fried deer steak, crawfish pie and sticky frog legs. The She expo is a two-day event featuring more than 150 vendor booths offering new products and services for life and home. Vendors will be on hand providing food, information and entertainment. Sponsor Memorial Hospital will again man its “Oasis of Health,” providing free health screenings.
There will also be a fashion show featuring breast cancer survivors, presented in partnership with Susan G. Komen for the Cure. Relish, a national food magazine, will return to the expo for cooking demonstrations, and new this year will be a Pampering Pavilion, where attendees can get mini-massages, pedicures and/or manicures. “It’s a weekend event that is a great opportunity to shop, hang out with family and friends and see top-flight celebrities,” said Lyndsi Lane, Times Free Press marketing manager. “It’s become a place for grandmothers, mothers and daughters to hang out together and find things that relate to them.” More celebrity guests will be announced in coming days.
