Three crosses now stand tall over Chattanooga
After 10 years of planning, The Crossing Church in Chattanooga has completed its ‘3 Crosses Project.’ Crews finished installing the three towering steel crosses on the church’s campus Thursday. The pastor of the church, Rev. Terry Harris, says the tallest cross stands at 125 feet, with two 100-foot crosses on each side. He says the $700,000 dollar project was made possible through private donations.
The crosses can be seen by drivers traveling up and down Interstate 75. He says an estimated 75,000 cars will pass by the crosses every day. Harris says he hopes the crosses will peak people’s interest, and ultimately lead them to Jesus Christ. The completion brought a firestorm of opinions on social media. Not everyone supports the project. Do you?
