Back about 1969 Doug Elliott and I went to Waffle House in Cleveland, Tennessee for a midnight snack. A Coach for the Singing Speer Family pulled up and apparently had just finished a road singing trip.

The ladies came in all decked out with make up and loaded with all kinds of jewelry. I knew right then they were not of the Church of God denomination.

47 years later I find myself in error with this judgment. I was right in my “Church of God” mind for 17 years more and for the last 30 years have been wrong. Pickles have souls!
