Church of God General Overseer Cecil Brigham Knight was born in Thomasville, AL, on November 12, 1925. Knight has the distinction of being the first full time president of the Pentecostal Theological Seminary. From its founding in 1975, the general overseer had served as president; but, upon leaving the office of general overseer in 1978, Knight became a full time president. He served in that position until 1982, when he was reelected to the executive committee. Knight returned to the presidency in 1989 and served until his retirement in 1998.
