Did believers have the indwelling of the Holy Spirit as a separate event from the apostolic gifts bestowed on

1. the Jews at Pentecost?
2. the Gentiles in Cornelius’s house?

You Pentecostals and perhaps other charismatics, will probably say “yes”.

Don’t all believers have the Holy Spirit? Isn’t scriptural water baptism just a physical symbol of spiritual baptism?

By the way: I define “apostolic gifts” as those gifts like tongues and healing that were common among the apostles after Pentecost.
