Those of us who to come to defend our faith apologetically please remember we must not practice eisegesis.
Instead the proper practice of Bible interpretation should be done through exegesis; which is the opposite of what I see a lot of going on in the group.
I come here as well to defend our faith Biblically; however I see a lot of one’s own opinions going into scripture without examining parallel verses and Biblical context.
Let us remember not to open our mouths in shove our foot in it.
Before you post on specific scripture make sure you’ve done your research, make sure you’ve read the parallel verses and any context surrounding that segment of scripture; whether it be the verse the chapter the book.
Get a Concordance get a study Bible; look up those little numbers and verses noted next to it. Then go find other commentary from trusted sources before manifesting your own commentary and coming and posting it on Facebook.
Let us not argue as fools but seek wisdom as we are instructed to. If we want to properly defend our faith we must first put on the WHOLE armor of God.
