Fake Asbury Revival Has Led To Unprecedented Cooperation Between Charismatics And Roman Catholic Church At ‘The Change’ Event In Lisbon
Bill Johnson and Bethel Church are joining forces with Pope Francis and the Roman Catholic Church at ‘The Change’ event in Lisbon starting on August 4th in Portugal
We made a lot of people mad when we told you, and showed you, why the phony Asbury Revival was mostly nothing more than a marketing campaign, carefully conceived and craftily executed. One of the reasons this was so is because of something called the Catholic Charismatic Renewal which has been working since the late 1960’s to reunite wayward Protestants with Mother Rome. We even did a Podcast on that very same subject, warning you not to get involved with it.
“They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us.” 1 John 2:19 (KJB)
I am all for revival when it’s the Holy Spirit that’s doing it, but I care not for the man-made kind that appeals to the flesh instead of to the soul and spirit. When DL Moody preached, he had the big crowds but he also had the Holy Spirit, and as a result, you would see a massive change in the culture after he left. The same thing happened when Billy Sunday preached, movie theaters closed down and liquor stores went out of business! How did this happen? Because it was a work of the Spirit, that’s how. In a Spirit-led revival, all the focus is on God and the people are very much made aware of their sinful condition. In man-made revival, God gets lip service while the people are exalted. There is a lot of talk of ‘increase and prosperity’ instead of repentance. All this brings us to Bill Johnson, Bethel Church and the Roman Catholic Charismatic Revival.
It’s called ‘The Change’ and it’s part of World Youth Day sponsored by the Roman Catholic Church in Portugal. As you can see from the listing of speakers and performers who will be attending, there is huge support from the Charismatic Church in America. Bill Johnson wants to raise one million dollars for Rome, and he is almost there. Do you remember from a few years back, Kenneth Copeland leading his congregation to the Vatican with the help of Tony Palmer? This is what the Asbury Revival was for, to get people pull down the doctrinal barriers that separate the true church from Rome, and join the whole thing together in one big mongrel Laodicean mess. This is exactly what’s happening next week in Lisbon.
The web site for ‘The Change’ says “There is an unprecedented opportunity for the Church to gather to imagine what can be done by working together for world evangelization. On August 1 to 6, 2023, 1.5 million youth and young adults – mostly GENZ – will descend on Lisbon, Portugal for World Catholic Youth Days. In the middle of this event, believers of all denominations are assembling to fulfill Jesus’ Great Commission.” Get the picture? Pope Francis will be in Portugal for the events, perhaps he and Bill Johnson will have an espresso together and talk shop.
Mark this down and remember it. Any event, conference, church, groups of people or an individual that wants you to forget all about doctrine and come together in the spirit of love and human fraternity is leading you straight to Rome and the Vatican. The Catholic Church has a huge inroad with the Charismatic Church which makes up the largest part of professing Christianity. Don’t let them get you, too. Stay in the Book, don’t give up your King James Bible, and cling to Bible doctrine like that life raft that it is. The best part is, if you do all those things that Paul commands, read all of 2 Timothy and see for yourself, the Catholics won’t want you anyway. Amen.
