For The “Naysayers” :: By Dennis Huebshman
Several years ago, I submitted a message stating that “My God Is Real” and supplied numerous Biblical references to back this statement up. The biggest issue with this is the reader must believe the Bible is the true word from our Father, written by approximately forty Holy Spirit-inspired authors, and through numerous translations, it stands as absolute truth. (ESV – all emphasis is mine)
Starting with 2 Timothy 3:16-17, “All scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.”
Next, we look at 1 Thessalonians 2:13; “And we also thank God constantly for this, that when you received the Word of God, which you heard from us, you accepted it; not as the word of men, but as it really is, the Word of God, which is at work in you believers.”
Peter tells us in 2 Peter 1:19-21, “And we have the prophetic word more fully confirmed, to which you will do well to pay attention, as to a lamp shining in a dark place, which the day dawns, and the Morning Star rises in your hearts; knowing this first of all, that no prophecy of Scripture comes from someone’s own interpretation. For no prophecy was ever produced by the will of man, but when spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.”
For those of us who are believers, the above verses carry a special comfort in that we believe that our Heavenly Father has a special love for us. It is so powerful that He sent a very special part of Himself to this earth to give us a true pathway to have eternal life with Him (John 3:16-18).
In the days before Jesus came to this earth as a human, God allowed sacrifices of animals and birds to be a temporary means of being forgiven for sins. However, as Hebrews 10:3-4 states, “But in these sacrifices there is a reminder of sins every year. For it is impossible for the blood of bulls and goats to take away sins.”
God cannot accept any sacrifice as permanent unless it is willingly given (John 10:18) by One who has lived a pure, sinless life. Of all the people from Adam and Eve, to all who will have lived until this earth is ended, there is only One who will ever fit God’s requirement. That would be Jesus the Christ, our Messiah and Holy Redeemer. His blood sacrifice was once for all people and for all time.
As stated, for this to carry a special meaning, one has to believe that the Bible is the true word from our Heavenly Father and that He truly exists in the form of three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
For the “naysayers,” those who do not believe in God but are being carried along by evil spirits and the desires of this earth, we go to 1 Corinthians 1:18; “For the word of the Cross is folly to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved, it is the power of God.”
Our Heavenly Father is not surprised at the increase in evil, and actually covers this in 2 Thessalonians 2:9-12; ” The coming of the lawless one is by the activity of Satan, with all power and false signs and wonders, and with all wicked deception for those who are perishing, because they refused to love the Truth and so be saved. Therefore God sends them a strong delusion so that they may believe what is false in order that all may be condemned who did not believe the Truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.” I believe that “strong delusion” has begun, even though not in full force yet.
Over the past decade, we have witnessed the boldness of Satan coming out. More and more, events are taking place that were held behind closed doors earlier. As a slap in the Savior’s face, there are even “churches of Satan” opening around this country. Gender-related events, along with all the alphabet people, are taking place not only throughout America but are actually going around the world.
The movement started out like a baby slowly crossing the floor. As time progressed, the “baby” stood up and began to walk, and its movements gained speed. As the “baby” moved to “teen” years, the pace picked up to a sprint, and as each day passes, the progression accelerates even further. Eventually, the pace will be so rapid that the participants will only take time to consider what they have on this earth rather than considering where they will spend eternity.
Sadly, more people are getting caught up in the Satan-inspired activities. Those who truly believe in Jesus and proclaim Him as their Savior are being labeled as “haters.” As difficult as the times have become for us, it is nowhere near just how terrible it will be for any believer during the reign of the antichrist and his false prophet. Any who will receive and accept Jesus during that 7-year period will most likely be subjected to martyrdom.
Jesus Himself said we would be hated by the world for His namesake but that He overcame the world (John 16:33). God has promised that no true believer will enter the Wrath or Tribulation but that we would be removed before the evil one can appear.
Once the Rapture takes place as described in 1 Thessalonians 4:13-17 and 1 Corinthians 15:51-53, the “naysayers” will come up with excuses to try and say why we are suddenly gone. There will be an allegiance made with the antichrist, and his followers will receive a mark on their foreheads or right hands, showing that they are worshipers of the beast. This will be an unforgivable sin, as stated in Revelation 13:16-18.
Right now, while there may still be time, it would be very wise to make the choice to receive and accept Jesus as your Savior. We don’t know the day or hour that the Rapture will take place, but all who will already have Jesus in their hearts will be taken up to meet Him in the air. It’s a free-will choice that must be made by every individual. Any who refuse to receive and accept the Father’s Son will be left behind to face whatever will come.
Please know I believe completely that “My Redeemer Lives.” Nichole Mullen wrote and performs a song with that title, and it is a powerful message, to say the least.
1.) Who taught the sun where to stand in the morning? And who told the ocean ‘you can only come this far’? And who showed the moon where to hide till evening? Whose words alone can catch a falling star?
Ref.) Well, I know My Redeemer lives; I know My Redeemer lives. All of creation testifies; the life within me cries, I know My Redeemer lives.
2.) The very same God that spins things in orbit runs to the weary, the worn, and the weak. And the same gentle hands that hold me when I’m broken, they conquered death to bring me Victory.
Ref.2) Now I know My Redeemer lives; I know My Redeemer lives. Let all creation testify; let this life within me cry, I know My Redeemer lives.
3.) He lives to take away my shame, and He lives forever; I’ll proclaim that the payment for my sin was the precious life He gave; but now He’s alive, and there’s an empty grave!
Ref. 4) I know My Redeemer lives; I know My Redeemer lives; I know My Redeemer lives. He lives; He lives; He lives; He lives!
Matthew 24, Luke 21, 2 Timothy 3:1-5 and various other passages tell us what the end of this age will be like. For the first time, all the signs given are here right now, and all at once. Those of the world are looking for earthly answers, while those who have received and accepted Jesus as our Shepherd are waiting and watching for the Trumpet of God to sound and a shout from an archangel. Instead of being in fear, we should be getting excited. Two words sum it all up – Home Soon!
The simple steps to being saved are found in Romans 10:9-13, which are also called the ABCs of Salvation. The main issue is that many people expect to have to do more to “earn” or “buy” their way into eternal life with Jesus. Ephesians 2:8-9 is the absolute answer to this, as we can do nothing other than to accept God’s Son as our one and only way to being with Him. (Also John 14:6)
If you haven’t considered that Jesus is the only way and that there is no other name under Heaven given among men by which we must be saved, (Acts 4:12) then today would not be too early to take a moment to determine where you will spend eternity. There are numerous verses that plainly state that if we have the Son, we have the Father; but without the Son, we do not have the Father. It will either be with Jesus in Heaven, or with Satan and all his demons in hell or the Lake of Fire. By making no decision, the default will be to decide against Jesus. Two examples are John 3:18 and 1 John 5:12.
God gave us the promise that we will be with Him in eternity if we have His Son in our hearts, and God cannot lie (Titus 1:2). Please don’t put it off another day; that could just be a day late.
Yehi Rotzan! (May it be Thy will!)
