TESTIFYING THE LAMB OF GOD
Evidently,the theme today is tired to Hebrews 10:1-4 and Leviticus 16. We have the narration that because the blood of animal sacrifices in the Old Testament could not take away the sins of the people hence Jesus Christ was revealed to us as the only One against sins committed by us where possibly He had to offer His body to make the sacrifice for the sin of mankind to be cleansed and washed away.
John had the revelation from God in order for him to identify the One who was the Messiah of Israel and the original Lamb of God that will take away the sins of the world. It was then the time for John to testify of Him hence John had to decrease his ministry and instead allow Jesus to have the increase in ministry among the people.
Therefore upon the basis of John’s announcement that Jesus was the Lamb of God to whom we were anticipating, Andrew willingly believed. Similarly, our expectations will be fulfilled when we go in search of sinners,and do same to introduce to them for reason why Jesus Christ incarnated into flesh in order to become the sacrifice needed for sin to be eradicated in their lives.
The Christian bodies today should now serve as the oasis of hope in a troubled world. Jesus Christ came to the world as God’s answer to all of the problems of mankind. He declared in Matthew 11:28 “Come unto me,all ye that labour and are heavy laden,and l will give rest.” And because Christ the Messiah is the solution to all who are hopeless, and certainly a cure to the economic and social upheavals threatening the peace of any nation,then this is the message the Church,the CAN,the PFN,and the Scripture Union should boldly proclaim and introduce even to the leaders of nations in their Assembly. Assuredly when the impact of the Word of Christ is felt within, their minds will be renewed for a possible change in policy decision which shall be provided to the advantage of the masses..
Our nation and people need to know that Jesus the Lamb of God is the assurance of unity, peace and progress.And being so as a child of God you have to take up the responsibility to testify and to manifest the glory of God.
Let us take time personally to testify of the goodness of the Lord in our life because it is important that we think about the wonderful things the Lord had done in our life previously.
By remembering by faith the blood of the Lord Jesus which was shed for our own sake.,we are nevertheless consistently walking in victory over circumstances of life.
Always remember that He cares for and loves you very much,so you are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus; therefore sin shall not have dominion over you any longer because also the blood of the Lamb is the antidote.
