I think one of the things every Christian ought to do when coming to faith , is examining the history behind it. Too often Christians dont know things about the New Testament, are unprepared to answer a question or an objection about the historicity of the gospels etc.
Its , in my opinion , the best way to start apologetics , as examining history is easier than examining philosophy and cosmology for example. I leave some of my favourite sources below :
•Tim McGrew and the authorship of the gospels
•Gary Habermas on the reliability of the gospels and their dates
•J Warner Wallace on the reliability and dating of the gospels
•Daniel Wallace on the contradiction and the corruption of the bible
•Inspiring Philosophy – Michael Jones playlist on the reliability of the gospels ( if you want an all round review )
History is on the side of Christianity and we have to realise this. Examine the evidence and reach your conclusions.
There are many more sources , these are my personal favourites.
