In case I can’t come

So that whether I come and see you or am absent, I may hear of your affairs, that you stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel. _Philippians 1:27

Most likely I will not be able to be there.

Mortal as I am, I can only be in one place at a time.

My heart is there. I want to be there, but these chains of responsibility and duty keep me tied here.

So if I can’t come…

Let me hear from you.

Let me hear that you are faithful,

Stiving,

Contributing,

Selfless,

Serving,

All for the glory of Jesus Christ and for the benefit of those who are there.

But while you’re busy, remember…

For my heart is there…

With you.

And I want to hear about what you’re doing.

The ONE THING for today: Being mortal, you can only be in one place at a time. Make it count. Make it count for something that truly matters. But don’t forget the ones who love you and can’t be there. Make sure they hear from you.
