“God wants you to move, that’s why He didn’t create the couch.”

―Ben Lerner

The other day I ran across a clever statement: “Let’s do it!” is not a plan.

I get it.

But it is a start and that is no small thing.

God can take mistakes, failure, and even the worst of sin and turn it to our good.  But laziness, paralyzing fear of failure, unconcern, procrastination – these things stop progress dead in its tracks.

Of course planning is helpful, but is possible to develop a plan as you go.

After all, being a time-bound being, you don’t know the future so even your best plan will have gaps in it.  As someone has said: We plan, God laughs.

So get with today.  Dare to take action.  The question is not can it be done or do you know how to do it.  The question is: Must it be done?  If so, get started by doing something in the direction you need to go.  It’s amazing how plans begin to reveal themselves once you get started.

The ONE THING for today: Planning helps, helps a lot. But nothing replaces just jumping in and getting started.
