Many a small COG will go through a whole week without making a solid contact with a new prospect. It would be embarrassing for the pastor and his church leaders to sit down on a Monday and ask who did we contact last week and what were the results? And yet in this age of growing population and new ways of reaching out; every church should have at least some prospects in easy driving distance of their church.
When you advertise on FB or G+ you get a report at the end of the month that tells how many visited your site and how many responded in some way. Certainly it would be good, if each Monday there was a report of how many mailings went out, how many tuned in to a web cast, who was new in the S. S. and in the youth group etc.
It is this backroom detailed work that is so often neglected and yet per dollar and effort spent will produce the best results.
